Hello 2005
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
So far, so good!!! LOL Last night was great at sis in law's. It was not her typical get together. Normally she has about 50 people at her house. Last night including our three little ones there was a total of 12. It was different but the same and there was a ton of food, a ton of laughs and a ton of hugs and kisses at midnight. Maybe our low key NYE is a good thing.
This morning I woke up around 9:30 (very late for me) and saw that DH mopped the laundry room. Is this my DH??? LOL Hey he knew I couldn't get around to it and did it for me. I think I will keep him.
Then I am making coffee and DH informs me that he is washing the car. Why? I say. He said open the door and feel how great it is out. I saw it was sunny but was totally unprepared for the springlike temperature that hit me. It is almost like spring fever set in. No wonder he mopped for me. LOL
So like I said, so far so good.
I have made my rounds to the blogs I read and posted my well wishes for a Happy New Year to all. I realized by reading these blogs that I have made so many more friends this year. I am truly blessed.
The rest of the day is going to be doing some fun stuff. I need to make a ham and coleslaw but other than that dinner prep is easy. I am also doing a small casserole of sauerkraut and kielbasa. My mom did this every New Year's Day and I figure it is time to carry on the tradition.
I am also going to stitch. I may make a run to AC Moore as they are having a floss sale. It is not like I "need" it but you never know what else I need so I may do that later. I don't know yet. I plan on enjoying the day and doing some fun stuff. DH agrees and that is why he is spending the day outside. LOL I know the kids will also want to go outside too. It has been awhile since they rode their bikes or DS skateboarded. All in all I am looking forward to today and the year to come.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!

Hi Mia,
thanks for your good wishes. A very happy 2005 for you too! I love to read your blog and are happy with you that your children are allright now. And a husband who cleans... I should keep him too :D. I'm blessed with a similar husband: never complaining and helping out where he can!
And when you hear and read about the people in Asia, you realise that we ARE blessed.
Have a nice day
Anneke
