This and That
Well it is Thursday and I even woke up knowing the day. Hopefully that is a good sign that the cobwebs are leaving the brain. :)
It is a pretty normal and boring day here and even my plans are boring. I have mega laundry to do, a bathroom to clean and dinner to prepare. Ho hum....but that is fine by me. I am just happy that after the recent snow that things are back to normal somewhat. At least the kids had a full day yesterday and one today. I get lots done when they are not here.
The Church received good news about the fire damage. The engineer's report came back that there is no structural damage to the Church. That is wonderful to hear. Before long we will be back in the Church. I am still keeping my fingers crossed that my daughter makes her First Holy Communion inside our Church. The cleaning is even going great. They already finished one side and will be done the other side by Friday. Before the end of the month, the middle section and altar area and choir area will be near completion. I am happy for our priests because I know they must be hearing a lot of complaints and so on. It is not their fault and they are feeling the same way everyone else is. It is a shame that some people just need to be the so called "bad apple". But anyway, things are looking good there. Here is our website which shows lots of pictures... www.saintpius.net .
On the stitching front, I am making great progress on Coffee. Last night I did a lot of the one stitch here and one stitch there in the area I am working on. It makes me feel like I am the slowest stitcher around. But it is looking great and I will post a picture some time over the weekend.
DD took the night off stitching to do BookAmerica online. Her teacher is awesome. I really like him and he likes the kids too. In honor of Dr. Seuss, he threw a party yesterday with streamers and everything. DD was in awe of yesterday. They read Dr. Seuss books and took these little quizzes. He even entered them into "Book Adventure". They get points for each quiz they take on books they read. There are prizes awarded and everything. He even set up an incentive program to spark the interest of those who are not crazy about reading. There is no worries with DD. For homework she was to take one of the quizzes. I think by the end of the evening she did 4.
DS even read last night in honor of the day. He needs incentive. I think his teacher should do the book adventure thing too. LOL But he is a great kid and hopefully he will continue to read through his life. I don't push him because I don't want him to hate reading. It is not something to hate doing. It should be enjoyed. At least he likes the last batch of books I bought him. So that is a good thing.
I better get back to the same ole routine.
I hope you all have a great day doing what you enjoy.
