New Day, New Month

It is March 1 and I always think spring as soon as March rolls around. But looking outside you would think it is January. We got about 5 or so inches of snow yesterday and today makes for a mess. For the 4th day in a row, my kids are only having half a day. Last Thursday was early dismissal, Friday was late start, Monday was early dismissal and today is late start. I hate the late start days. They went in at 10:30 and here it is 11:30 and I just got out of the shower. I did manage coffee and the normal get ready for school business but nothing else til now. So I guess you can say March is coming in like a lion. Hopefully it will go out like a lamb. I am already dreading tomorrow as it is going to be blustery and cold with snow flurries. Come on Spring!!!!

I don't have much on the agenda for today other than a couple errands I couldn't do yesterday and then getting the kids from school. Then it will be homework and dinner time. My DH already told me he has to work tonight. So I will whip up something quick for dinner so I can get him out the door to work. That way he will get home early. Tonight the new season of Amazing Race is starting and we want to see it from the beginning. The last time it was on a couple months ago, I missed the first three or so episodes so I was lost when I finally got to tune in. Hopefully tonight I will get to see the beginning.

Last night I got a good portion of stitching done. Not as much as I would have liked because the phone kept ringing. DD on the other hand is doing awesome. I tried helping her between phone calls but she actually did pretty well on her own. She is doing great with the threading of the needle, beginning and end threads and separating the floss strand. I just have to make sure she makes sure she gets a piece big enough to stitch with. She has done a nice portion of the black outlining of her design. I told her last night to take a break from stitching black and to fill in some of the outline with color. So she is excited about that and I think that is what made her do so much last night. It will be easier for her to fill in without looking at the chart so much. Now that I am thinking about it, I will definitely post a picture of what she is stitching after this blog entry. Then once she gets some color into her design, I will post a progress picture for her.

Have a great day everyone!
