Snow and Stitching

Yep, it is another day of snow here. We are expecting about a foot of snow between now and tomorrow morning. I took the kids to school at 8:30 this morning and I went and picked them up at 11:00 AM. But I am not complaining. I hate driving in the stuff. As it turned out, the snow didn't start til close to 11:00 AM. I was walking into the school building when I noticed the first flakes. I just hope the weather report is right. If it is, we are looking at a snow day tomorrow. I rather be in than having to take the kids to school and pick them up a couple hours later.

After I wrote yesterday's blog entry, I forgot to mention a few things. One is we got our taxes done on Friday evening and we are getting a refund. Much nicer than we anticipated. We thought we would be paying because DH was in business on his own for about 6 weeks. It all worked out well and for that I am happy.

When I went an bought floss at AC Moore, I forgot to mention that I bought the 63 square afghan booklet. I even found yarn I wanted to use for the squares. It was a really nice earthy colored variegated yarn that I had in my hot little hands. Unfortunately, DD and I couldn't find two other yarns that would nicely compliment the variegated. But I have the booklet and as soon as I get the yarn, I think I will start making squares. The afghan will look beautiful in my family room. It will also be nice to go back to crocheting again. I think I forgot how. LOL Hopefully it is like riding a bike. LOL

I am making great progress since I picked Coffee back up. With any luck, I will have a really nice progress picture to show for it by the end of the week. It is also that time to go back to my goals I set for myself. I did pretty well as I did tons on the Dragon and as I said, I went back to Coffee by the end of the month. I did not finish Celestial Prayer but it will get done. I just need to get myself to school earlier so I have that full 1/2 hour to stitch. With the snow coming, I do see myself getting there early to get a parking spot and therefore I will have the time to stitch.

For March, I plan on working on Coffee for most of the month and if all goes well, I will go back to the dragon at the end of March. I am also hoping I can finish Celestial Prayer. I would love to see a finish. Okay, I did see a finish but it was DDs. LOL

Speaking of DD, she is doing great on the Bang on the Door design. I still need to scan a picture of it and will do so soon. Chances are I may even have a scan of what she has stitched. She has done quite a bit and it is starting to look like something.

Well since DD is done her homework, she is asking if she can get online. I am happy to oblige.
