Happy Valentine's Day!
Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!!! I hope you enjoy your day with those that you love the most.
It has been a whirlwind around here for the past few days. That is why you didn't see me. I think I only got online yesterday for a short bit.
First let me get the yucky out. I got socked with a very bad sinus thing on Thursday. It started innocent enough but by the middle of the night, the entire left half of my head and throat was pounding. YUCK!!!! It was one of those where I felt all my teeth on the left side, top and bottom, were going to come out. I didn't need it as DD was making her First Penance on Saturday. I took care all day Friday and took medicine and it seemed to help but it was annoying to say the least that I couldn't rest because no matter how I laid my head down, it hurt. But I am happy to say that today it is just a minor annoyance. It still hurts just a bit but I am able to function and I know it is on it's way out.
Friday we finally got the digital camera DH wanted. He has been searching for this camera since the holidays. It is a Kodak and comes with the printer dock. It is really cool and I will be happy once I learn how to use it. He wanted it before DD's First Penance and it happened. We actually got the last one that Circuit City had. So we had it on Saturday morning.
DD's First Penance was beautiful. What a lovely service our parish did. The children did wonderfully and all the priests they called in couldn't have been nicer to our children. DD was a nervous wreck because she ended up going face-to-face with the priest. The lines for the box were too long and one of the nuns and myself convinced her to go to one of the priests positioned throughout the church. I waited patiently and with a huge smile as I watched her whispering to the priest. She came out of the pew with the most beautiful smile and told me "I did it". What a girl!!! DH and I are so proud of her. The school had a reception afterward and it was so nice to see all of the nuns, priest of our parish and the children's teachers there too. We had a nice time and then came home as I needed to rest before family came. We wanted to do something special and figured she would want to Build a Bear or a favorite restaurant. She wanted pizza from a shop in our old neighborhood. So we obliged. LOL We invited FIL, SILs and their DHs and my DH went and picked up the pizzas. We had a nice time and DD was on a cloud. She never changed out of her pretty skirt and blouse that I picked out for her.
Yesterday was a low key day for us. I did some laundry and played with the kids all day. We went to my stitchy sis in law's for dinner and I came home and actually stitched. It was the first time since the dreaded sinus thing hit. So I knew I must be on the mend.
Today I need to finish up getting the kids a few treats for Valentine's Day. I normally get them candy, a book or movie and maybe a game for their video systems. I need to get the games. I just wasn't up to it on Friday when I had the chance. Yesterday, the kids and I made goodie bags for their classmates and they had fun. DD did Valentine cards. DS didn't want to as he is getting to "old" for that. LOL At least that is what he tells me. But he wanted to do the goodie bags for his friends.
My other sis in law and her DH are on a cruise right now and my father in law will be here all week for dinner. He normally goes to this sis in law's house for dinner so me and my other sis in law are going to take turns with fil. He is easy though and it is nice that he gets to spend time with his son. When I look at him or ride by his house everyday (he lives a block away), I smile knowing that he loves having his DDs and DS nearby.
Well I best get some laundry done and then get my errands done.
Hopefully I will figure out the camera and you can see the entire picture of what I have done with the dragon. It is too big to fit on my scanner and there is a little more I have finished to the left of his head so I actually do have more done that you see in my scans.
Have a great day everyone!!!!
