My Thoughts on Life and Family and Where Every Stitch is a hope, a dream, a smile, a prayer, a good thought.

The Outside

As promised, I took a few minutes from my crazy life and took pictures. If I had to show you all the steps that have happened since my last house update, you would be reading for awhile. So I broke it down.

This is what we started with. This is what the house looked like for the first three years we lived here.

And this is what it looked like as of this morning. The huge window is the new kitchen. The smaller long windows is the dining room. The upstairs will be broken into two large bedrooms, a bathroom and are you ready... a small craft room for me. The window on the right should be where the craft room will go. I am not 100% sure but I don't see a need for a huge window in the bathroom. It will just be a shower stall, toilet and sink/vanity. The kids will had to deal with artificial light. LOL

And not to be forgotten, here is what the back of the house looked like.

And here is what it looked like this morning. The upper window will be a bedroom. The door is in the kitchen and will lead out to a small deck. The steps are just temporary and of course there is still work to be done i.e. moving the a/c unit, etc.
It has been crazy here and I have been trying to get pictures to show you what is going on in my life. I would have had a stitching photo but something went wrong. I had to end up frogging the white blog in my Chef's Wardrobe and am now down to a blank piece of linen again. If all goes well, I should be able to stitch tonight. It has been hard as I have been exhausted after dinner. I am hoping by the end of this week that I will be used to getting up at 5:30 AM every morning. And I am hoping that I have some sort of new household routine in place. It has not been easy and I have always hated the first couple weeks of school.

More later...

Oh My Goodness! With that size of home remodeling, I'm surprised you can stitch at all. The house is looking amazing!

Oh, Mia! You'll have such a lovely, comfortable, workable home when you're finally finished with this project!

I, too, hate getting used to getting up early, etc. with the new school year. But the adjustment has come surprisingly easier this year than last. Yay!
