January Stitching Goals Update

Well it is the last day of the month and it is time for me to revisit my stitching goals for the month. All in all I think I did pretty good but it would have been better if I had a finish.

This is what I wanted to accomplish for January:
1. Finish Page 3 of Coffee (I stitch from right to left; first \ then /).
2. Finish Celtic Prayer (I will go between car and home for this one)
3. Pick out an ornament and kit and start it and maybe even finish it.
4. Work more on Fire Dragon. This will be toward the end of the month and hopefully I will get the 5-7 block goal finished before February. If not, I will start February on the Fire Dragon.

This is what I actually accomplished:
1. I DID finish page 3 of Coffee
2. NOPE!! I didn't finish Celestial Prayer but it is 2/3 of the way done.
3. NOPE!! I didn't pick out an ornament or other small thing to do. I didn't feel like it.
4. YES!!! I did work more on Fire Dragon. Way more than I anticipated. I said in the beginning of the month that I would do 8 full grid blocks and finish up 7 partially done ones in the row I am working on. Well I actually managed to do the 8 full grid blocks plus the 7 full grid blocks underneath. I am now working on the 7 partial in the one row and the 7 partial blocks in the next row. I will end up with a full 29 blocks finished this week. It is a great feeling of accomplishment for this project.

While I didn't accomplish all of my goals, I am quite pleased in what I did do. I have managed to stitch every day/evening and I have enjoyed every stitch which is the most important thing to me. I am not that upset that I didn't start anything new. I am a little disappointed that I didn't finish Celestial Prayer but I don't think I realized at the beginning of the month how much I still really had to do. Being 2/3 done on it is quite an accomplishment for this. I think February may see my first finish.

On the homefront, it is Monday and time for the same ole routine of laundry, cleaning, etc. But the weather is a little warmer (hey we are in the 30s here LOL) and it is sunny and there is no snow forecasted this week.

Have a great day everyone!! Tomorrow I will post what I want to accomplish stitching-wise in February.

Almost 3 out of 4, that's not so bad. I usually don't set goals, then I don't have to be sorry if I didn't meat them. I try to let stitching be nothing more than a great relaxing hobby. I'm afraid if I set goals, I'll be stressed by them.
