Whew!!!
Happy Day After Thanksgiving to you All!! I can't believe it is here!! No I am not going out Black Friday Shopping!! That is insane. The last thing I would want to do is beat the crowds or stand in line. My shopping will get done eventually. It always does and I do it in my own time.
Anyway, Thanksgiving around here was wonderful! All the hard work and preparation I put into my meal paid off. The entire family was here. All 16 of us from the oldest (my father in law) to the youngest (my DD) and the girlfriends and boyfriend of our nephews and niece. We ate lots of food and laughed even harder. It is easy to do especially when our oldest nephew is around.
With the help of my wonderful sis in laws, the house is cleaned up and all I have to do is empty the dishwasher and put is all back in the china closet. That is a great feeling and for the first time in a week I went to bed without thinking of food or preparation or something I forgot to buy.
My kids are still asleep and DH is out picking up our new windows. We have a HUGE window (12 panes) in the living room and it is hideous. It is the original from 1956 when the house was built. Well I am getting beautiful new Pella windows and DH and brother in law are putting them in today. I can't wait especially since now it is officially Christmas season. :) The tree will look absolutely gorgeous in front of the new window. I am especially grateful that I will now be able to open the windows. The people that used to live here painted the dang things shut and it always bothered me that I could not open a window. In fact, up to today the only window on that floor that opens is the kitchen and then the two entry doors. Not good in my book. I like windows that open.
My plan for today is not too exciting. I need to do some laundry and I want to stitch and maybe if DD doesn't end up at a friend's house, we will bake some Christmas cookies. I plan on avoiding stores if at all possible. Of course, I need to run to the Acme for a few things to bake but I know the supermarket will be empty. Everyone is out gift shopping. :)
Have a great day everyone and hopefully I will have a progress picture of Rose to show you. I didn't stitch much this week because of Thanksgiving but I will make up for lost time today and through the weekend.

Thanks for dropping by my blog and leaving a nice comment. Glad you had a nice day too.
And I agree, I do not shop on Black Friday. It's not worth it! I mainly shop online these days. I only have one young person (7.5) to buy for and I pick up things for her throughout the year. Having a 20 yr old son makes it harder to know what to get for him as he almost has everything (that I can afford).
The DiDomenicos I know live in West Chester (or did). We had a falling out (she was calling me every few months to get the news and complain about her husband), which I didn't care for and told her so. I had tested her to see how long it would take for her to call me once and that's what happened. Oh well...life goes on.
Happy belated Thanksgiving, Mia! It sounds like a lovely time. I can't wait to hear how the window installation went for you!
Hey Mia!
I grew up in Media. : )
Small world. We'll have to do lunch sometime when I come to Delco.
