Never A Dull Moment

I am so sorry that it has been awhile since I blogged, but I have good reason. We were in Cancun for the Easter Holidays. I really didn't want to put it out in my blog because we would be a way during the holiday and I know in the past I have said the town where I live. Anyhoo, it has been busy.

About Cancun, it was a BLAST!!! We stayed at the Moon Palace Resort just outside Cancun and it was a family all inclusive vacation. The only money we needed were for tips and any gifties we brought home. I have to tell you it was the most relaxing vacation I had since I had kids. And the kids were with us. LOL The kids had a ball too and loved being in a foreign land so to speak. We left April 12 and arrived home April 19 at 10 PM. Of course, on Thursday we were right back into the thick of things with school, DH's work and me with tons of laundry and nowhere to put it as we had all new summer things and I hadn't cleaned out the old and outgrown stuff. But I came home very refreshed and I have to admit that today is the first day I woke up tired. I was fine Thursday and Friday but I guess it all caught up to me today. Then again, I could blame the pouring down rain we have had all day.

So after a relaxing vacation, I decide to catch you up with where I have been for the past week or so. I turn on the computer and it wouldn't turn on. Well it turned on but it wouldn't do anything else. After a little button pushing, it turns out my system crashed. Poor computer. It was 6 years old but that is like a 1000 in computer years. LOL I called DH to tell him the news and to tell him that I needed to pay some bills online because a couple were due the day we came home and now it would be really late if I had to mail. So last night we went out to Best Buy and I am now the proud owner of a Gateway something or another. I like it alot and we got the upgrade package and photo quality printer and it really didn't hurt the pocketbook. That is a good thing since we are kinda poor now since we took vacation already. :) Actually, I "think" I like it as I have only been online for the past 5 minutes. DH connected everything and I installed the DSL and my MSN and just now decided to relax and see how I like the new puter. Tomorrow I will hook up the printer. I am just not in the mood for more reading and installing and restarting the computer. I did it about 8 times tonight with all the stuff that was having to be installed.

I now have a sick DD. Thank goodness she didn't get sick in Cancun. It seems she may have what DS had two weeks ago. She came home from school yesterday with a cough and headache. So I gave her some cough meds and tylenol. Today she just pretty much chilled out and I thought she was just tired as we all seem to be today. I did give her some tylenol this morning and again this afternoon as she was complaining of a sore throat and cough. A little while ago, I took her temperature and it is 102. ACK!!! So I gave her more tylenol, some water and some soda as I want her to drink as she really didn't eat much dinner. Hopefully she will be on the mend tomorrow.

I also need to reinstall my Kodak software so I can share some pictures with you. Since I got the new glasses and contacts, I have been doing tons of stitching and even stitched on the plane to and from Cancun. I did stitch one day by the pool and then put it away. I didn't want the fabric to touch me because I had sunscreen on. I also have some more projects kitted up to do between the big ones. Summer is coming quickly and I want to have some small stuff to do while I am out and about with the kiddies.

Before I forget, the redo is getting there. Today the gas fireplace was installed and DH finished the crown molding. He has to prepare the floor for tiling and with any luck he will have it started and finished some time this week. It all depends on his work schedule. So hopefully we will be moved back down here very soon.

I best be getting along for now. Hopefully I will be back here more regularly since the room is getting closer to being finished and now I have a brand new puter that will hopefully not give me fits like the old one did in the past year.
