Back to Reality
Well it had to happen. Christmas vacation is over and that means back to school, work and of course my household stuff on a regular basis. But I am off to a good start. My non stitching goals are to eat healthier, cook healthier, walk more for exercise and to keep on top of the household stuff. And there is one more and that is to have more patience. I don't think I have any so that one may be a hard one. LOL
Anyway, household-wise, the house is neat and relatively clean with 2 children and a DH so I plan on keeping it that way every morning. So far so good. I am hoping by 1:00 that I am in my chair and stitching on Coffee.
I worked last night on dragon and managed to finish up the stitches that bring me to the half way point on the right side of the chart. I then started the remaining portion of his face. I now see why I didn't complete it when I started the face. It is one stitch of one color and two of another. In other words it was slow going but by next week I should have the face complete and start work on right side of his head. I have to admit it was hard putting it away last night as I really wanted to do more but I am going to stick with Version 1 of my rotation and switch off to Coffee today. :)
I am feeling better. Not 100% but getting there. My voice is almost back to normal and the cough is drying up. I coughed most of the night so I know I am getting better. I just wish I could have had a good night's rest.
I needed the rest because DS woke up this morning looking and sounding like I did a few days ago. I kept him home from school and he is actually laying down at this moment. He did come downstairs for something to eat and wanted to watch t.v. but 20 minutes later, he was back in his bed. I hope his cold comes and goes as quickly as mine seems to be going. I also hope he is back in school tomorrow. We are lucking out in that he has no fever. Just the aches, cough and sore throat and no voice like I did.
That is about it from here. I hope you all have a great day.

I have this cold! The other day, my sister called and she thought my husband had answered the phone! I'm barely keeping myself upright today at work. I hope you feel better soon.
Glad you're feeling better Mia, and hope your son will soon as well! Reality hits pretty hard sometimes after such a nice break, but we're all easing into it, lol!
Hope your son feels better soon - being sick is no fun!
I wish I could make Joshua lay down. He has the cold I have, but he won't rest!
