Weekend Already?
I can't believe it is already Friday. This week just flew by and that included the kids having off on Tuesday. Usually when we get that day in the middle of the week off, it makes the week that much longer. But it has been a pretty decent week and I can't complain.
I am just taking a break right now as I want my laundry and cleaning finished before tonight. So far, I have two loads finished and hanging out and the kitchen floor mopped. After this, I will do both bathrooms and maybe get to dust my bedroom. Then the rest of the weekend, it will just be the usual straightening, etc. I have an alterior motive for getting this stuff done.
I want to do nothing but fun stuff this weekend. Last Saturday and Sunday, I had lots of stitching time and play time with the kids. We even managed to get out to dinner on Saturday night. While I had lots of chores that should have been done, I just took last weekend as downtime to enjoy and rejuvenate. Well this weekend I want the same thing. I want to be able to do things and not have to worry that I should be doing something else. In other words, I want a guilt-free weekend.
I was going to post a picture of Rose but again I am having "picture posting woes". So I will take another picture after the weekend to show you my progress. I am really enjoying stitching this and it has been a great stress-buster after long days of household stuff and school stuff.
Also, my friend K and I are going to scrapbook on Sunday. I know, I know, I have been saying this for what seems like weeks now. I am finally going to open up that scrapbook I bought oh so long ago it seems. Tomorrow I will pull out my stuff for Sunday. K and I made our plans (even for dinner on Sunday) so we can have a nice day. Sure I could have tried this myself but to be honest, I have no idea what I am doing. LOL So maybe with Kim's help, I will have a page or two to show you next week. At this point, I am not promising you anything. LOL
The one thing I do promise is a stitching picture and I want to look for something small to make myself a scissor fob. I have a beaded one on my good scissors and I have to admit, it is boring me and is actually getting on my nerves. I am ready for something new. I may try to do something small and fall-like and use that til the holidays and then I may do another one for Christmas/Winter time. I don't know yet but I do know I need a change in that department.
Well I best be off for now. I have a plan and I want to keep to this plan so I have a crafty type weekend.
Have a great Weekend everyone!

Hi Mia, it sounds like you'll have a great weekend. Hope all goes like you hope for.
It's smart to scrapbook with someone else. If it's 'planned' you'll get to it, I'm sure. I have the same thing with sewing or quilting: with someone else I'll do it, otherwise I'm only making plans.
have a great time and lots of fun
It has been a really fast week, even Rob said so. I hope you got all your work done yesterday so you can relax today and tomorrow. My place isn't looking too bad, so I'm figuring with about an hour or so of work, I can get it in shape for the party tomorrow.
Good luck with the scrapbook. I am no good at those things, and I may even be commissioning my sister's partner to do some for us.
