TGIF
I am so glad that Friday is here. I will be officially happy and carefree after my friend picks up her kids today. Today is the last day I am watching them and it started off with a BANG!! The 9 month old has decided to cry and he has cried since 7 AM. It is now 9:15 and he took a short break by falling asleep for a whopping 10 minutes. Oy, it is going to be a long day for me.
I need to go to a school meeting at 10 AM this morning. It is about one of my "jobs" that I volunteered for. I will be copying for the teachers on Wednesdays and the moderator wanted me in TODAY!! I tried telling her that today was not good, but she can only meet me and the other moms today. I guess she works other days, I am not sure. So anyway, I will probably have a whiny baby with me. Sigh...
Thanks to a certain Kiwi, I now have a new "must have" chart. It is called Coffee Menu from Little House Needleworks. My kitchen is decorated in a coffee theme, or will be once it is redone. (I started decorating it that way in my old home and have 6 stitched pieces that hung there for 2 years). I told DH that I really like decorating with the Coffee theme and will do it in our "new" kitchen. Hopefully sometime in the spring that will become a reality. I don't know about the time frame but it will happen and it will give me a chance to finish up Coffee and maybe another. (I can dream, can't I?).
In other stitching news, I never managed to stitch last night but I did finish up another crochet square. That makes 3. Hopefully this afternoon I will start #4. That will be cool. These squares are looking great and I am anxious to finish this column so that I can piece it together. I decided to buy a plastic storage box that I will line with tissue to store them in. Once I piece it together, I will place it in my mother's cedar chest that I inherited to protect it til the afghan is complete with all 63 squares. I do realize that this afghan will not be finished any time soon. LOL
So far, our weekend will be laid back. Originally I would be in Hershey so no plans were made. So the only thing on the agenda is DH working and DS serving his first wedding at Church. My friend K mentioned that she wants to cook a turkey she has in her freezer this weekend. So that means, we will probably be invited to share in the turkey dinner as they are only a family of 3 and we are 4 so that makes 7. Heck, they will probably have a few more friends over too. Nothing like a turkey dinner in September when the weather is in the 80s. LOL But it will be fun if it happens. She wasn't too sure last night as she wanted to check with her DH first to see what their plans are.
Well I best be going. The baby is starting to cry again and I don't want him to bother his brother who has been an absolute angel all morning.
Have a great Friday everyone!!!
