TGIF
Yeah, Friday!! This has been a busy week with settling into school routine and me having TWO back to school nights for my kids. Last night was intense. I was there from 7-8:45 PM and changed classes as my DS does during the day. I met all 4 teachers and by teacher #4, I was overwhelmed. Gosh, if I had a paper bag, I would have beeen hyperventilating. I was also frustrated that I was at school and not in front of the t.v. with my stitching and Survivor. LOL But it went well, and hopefully DS and I will do well in 7th grade. After all, this is my second time going through 7th grade (me and now DS). But 7th grade was very different for me. So I have a feeling, you will be hearing lots of stuff about 7th grade this year.
Anyway, as I mentioned above, I did not get home til 8:45. I managed to catch the end of the immunity challenge and saw who got voted off on Survivor. I have to say I am so happy that Stephanie is back. DS's 6th grade teacher is a friend of Stephanie's and last year they played Survivor type stuff every Thursday and Friday in honor of Stephanie. I was happy to see that she FINALLY won an immunity challenge. For those who don't know, last year she was a survivor also and never ever won anything. The poor girl worked so hard and tried so hard but never came in first. So now I am looking forward to next week. I enjoy my Thursday nights with DH, DS and DD watching Survivor.
I am glad the weekend is finally here. I don't have many plans for the weekend. I need to stay on top of household stuff and that is about it. I am so ready to not have anywhere to go. Of course, that is always subject to change, but I am secretly hoping to just hang out around the house this weekend.
I finally finished square #26 on my redo of the afghan. The square is 1/2 inch bigger than the gauge but it looks great. Now the other squares have to measure the same as this one. I think I can do it. I got a start on the next one which is #7. I think it is the Alternate Puff Stitch. I just managed to make my chain stitch to start the first row. I will post pictures some time this weekend.
I haven't worked on Rose since I last blogged about it. I am so hoping to settle down and get some much needed stitching time in.
I guess that is about it from here. I hope everyone has a great Friday and a great Weekend.
