Great Expectations
I tell ya, I had such high hopes for the weekend. I was going to cross stitch, crochet and scrapbook. ACK!!! What was I thinking? In reality, I managed a half a square in crochet. Scrapbooking...what's that? Didn't even pull anything out. The only thing that I did accomplish was cross stitch. I finally finished the flower part of the rose and then I worked my way to the top of the design. YES!!! It was such a great feeling and I am looking forward to now working my way from top to bottom of the design.
In the time that I was stitching the flower, I kept trying to "map" out the chart to find my way to the top. I prefer to work from top to bottom but sometimes it is difficult when starting in the center to find the "way". Last night as I was finishing up the flower, I saw the "route" so to speak. So I made sure that I did that before I went to bed. Now it will be so much easier to stitch. I am finished with the light colors and now it will be the background stitching. I am very happy about that.
This is shaping up to be a hectic week. I am watching my friend's 3 year old and 9 month old today, tomorrow and Friday. Needless to say, I am a little nervous as it has been awhile since I had to entertain little ones so young.
DS is home from school today. He got hit with some kind of virus on Saturday and he still has remnants of it. I think he was more nervous today if he had to keep running to the bathroom. I don't know what kind of rest he will be getting at home.
I do have some things I hope to accomplish this week. In crafting, I want to finish up my current afghan square and finish at least one more. In cross stitching, I want to finish the top portion of Rose. I am so hoping it goes quickly. There are some sections of just one color, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it goes quickly.
In household stuff, I want to keep on top of housework to keep the house in some kind of order. I also want to stay on top of the laundry. I do not want it to get out of hand. I would post some other things but with babysitting this week, I don't see it happening. If it does, it will be a plus in my book.
I need to go get breakfast ready and try to get some laundry hung out while the kids are eating. I already fed the baby and he should be good for a bit.
Have a great day everyone!

Little kids - what fun! They'll keep you young (or tired, like mine do!).
hi Mia,
good luck with the little ones. don't count on doing anything this week, then it only can be better than you thought. little ones take all the time you have, especially if you aren't used to it anymore.
have a great time and good luck
