Back to Normal
It feels so great to have a normal Monday around here. Don't get me wrong, I was glad to help out a friend but after Friday, I decided that I just can't commit to something like that again. The baby cried all day. I think there was maybe 15 or 20 minutes that he didn't cry or sob or whine. I felt so bad. I think he is getting teeth and told his mom but she wasn't sure. There had to be a reason why he was so whiny. At least that is what I think.
I took the weekend to recoup and just enjoyed Saturday and Sunday. I did manage just a few chores but told DH that I was taking off. I managed lots of stitching and I thank you for your kind comments on Rose. Like I said, by the time I posted that picture I had lots more done. It has been so long since I posted pictures I forgot how. That is why the picture was one I took yesterday morning instead of afternoon when I had more complete. It is looking great and I can't wait to show you my progress at the end of the week. It felt so great to stitch this weekend. I forgot how much I enjoyed it.
Today there is a cool breeze blowing. It is supposed to get up to 84 degrees here today. I am so ready for the warm weather to be done. I LOVE Autumn and after seeing the weather report for the week, it looks like Friday we will get our first real taste of fall. I can't wait. We are supposed to get rain later and I hope we do. We haven't had any substantial rain in weeks or maybe months. I can't remember. Our backyard looks like a desert at this moment.
It feels good to have a normal Monday around here. I have laundry going and in a little bit, I will tackle DD's room. It has gotten a bit messy and while she is trying to keep it neat, it just isn't working by her putting stuff in the corner. LOL So that is my task today. I was going to go grocery shopping but figure I will wait til Wednesday. Tomorrow my kids are off school for a Teacher In-Service Day. It is so early in the year for this but it is one the Archdiocese planned and is mandatory. I also rather have Fridays or Mondays off for long weekends but I will take a Tuesday. LOL Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to tackle my bedroom as DS has already made plans with one of his friends.
I better get moving for the day. I hope you all have a great Monday!

Send that cool breeze this way - we're topping 100 again today - shattering heat records left and right. Yesterday we were at 105!
I know I'm ready for fall, this morning is gorgeous! I think that taking care of other people's children is tough. I don't think I could do daycare! We need the rain, too. The farms out here are starting to look a bit sad.
