Monday Mumbles

Here it is...the start to another week. The weekend was very laid back and for that I was happy about. DH started tiling the walls of the powder room and it looks fantastic. I will take some pictures when he is finished so that I can show you.

DH wasn't feeling well on Saturday and got me nervous but is feeling better as I type. Since he didn't have to work outside the house yesterday, he tiled a bit and then took the rest of the day off. He took the kids to the pool for me and I got to STAY HOME!! It was great to have a few hours to myself. So I did what any other red blooded stitcher does...I stitched. YES!! I worked on the dragon in that time and managed a good bit. I will post pictures either later today or tomorrow some time.

I never got around to doing DS's room so I will try to tackle that today as we are going nowhere. It is going to be like 100 degrees in the shade around here and since it is that time of the month for me, the last place I want to be is outside in the sun. If all goes well, I will get to stitch some this afternoon.

Thanks for the comments about slow stitching, etc. I really was starting to think there was something wrong with me. I am not a speedy stitcher so I would put me in the slow end but the interruptions are what really slows my progress. But I do know the important thing is that I enjoy each stitch. I love my hobby and it really helps to slow me down and destress me.

Well I guess that is it for now. I still need to get the kids breakfast, start laundry and figure out what the heck I am going to cook for dinner.

Have a great day everyone!!!

You know, there is something to be said for slow stitching - it is usually VERY pretty - and from the pics, yours is outstanding!

I'm right there with you in the heat - it is horrible here. Always is, though, so we are a little used to it. have a wonderful day!

I'm here in my Mom's house and she has NO AIR CONDITIONER. She's the last of a dying breed, one who hates the feeling of being cooped up in the summer and would rather suffer through the unbearable days than lose the use of even one window. Try to stay cool today. I'll be in a hot choir loft later on.

Happy to read that you stitched when you had a few hours to yourself. I'm always so afraid people want to do silly things in a situation like that: clean the house or so... stitching is so much better for ones spirit :).
good luck with the heat, we have a bad summer this week: rain and low temperatures.
