Still Melting...

Yes, you read that right!!! It is still hot and humid and yucko here. Oh well, at least the AC is working. Thank goodness we moved when we did. We didn't have central air where we used to live. At least it is bearable and I am oh so grateful to the person that invented it. LOL

Anyway, today was a down-type day in that I did not use the mini-van nor did I go to the pool. I had to do attorney work as he is coming tomorrow. And it is my fault that I spent close to 4 hours typing. I had this crapola for 2 weeks and you would think I would practice what I preach to my kids....do not put off til tomorrow what you can do today!! Well I got it done and am very happy for it. By then it was lunch time and I made the kiddos lunch and decided to clean the bathroom. That is a chore in itself. It takes me over an hour but it is a theraputic hour and it gets my thoughts in order. I know, I know...I am weird!! But cleaning really does put things into perspective for me and to think, it is Wednesday and if I try really hard, I can get my housework finished along with laundry and enjoy the weekend.

I did do a fun thing today. I planned DD's 8th birthday party. Her bday is August 12 and we are planning a party. This is her very first party with friends. Don't blame me!!! Blame the people I used to live around. They were never around when I wanted to do something for DD so she always had to settle for a family party. Not that family parties were shabby by any means. These parties, I planned for for weeks on end. The problem was other than her cousins and maybe one friend, it was all adults. This time, I am taking 8 little girls to Build-A-Bear in the mall and then we are coming back here for a Teddy Bear Picnic. How cool is that!!! My DD is so excited too!!! As I type this entry, the invites are printing out. Build-A-Bear thinks of everything!!! So now there is a very excited little girl and mommy!!! We will mail the invites tomorrow and hopefully most of the little girls she invited will be able to come!! Hey, I will be happy if at least 5 show up. I know of 3 definites so far as these are the moms I regularly chat with and get together with.

Right now, I need to go get dinner together. I am making pasta as it is really too hot to think of anything else. Tonight I plan on stitching. Last night, I only stitched on the dragon as it was slow going and I was wiped out from being out at the pool and in the sun all day. Tonight should be different and I am so hoping to get an early start on the dragon and then switching off to Coffee for the rest of the night.
