Time Flies...

when you are busy!!!

Gosh, I can't believe it has been many days since I have written a blog entry. Yesterday was the first time in days that I got online and even then it was only for a few moments. I am sooooo ready for the school year to be over and to enjoy summer with the kids. I am tired of routine and want to be a hippie this summer. DH calls us hippies because we do whatever we want to and we don't have a set plan.

This weekend was nothing but parties. My nephew/godson turned 21 and my sis in law really threw an awesome party. She always does and I have learned from the best. Yesterday our neighbor had a 1st birthday for their daughter at a Fire Hall. It was a lot of fun too. I finally settled in around 9:00 last night and decided I might as well go to bed. The weekend just went on by.

Of course I am paying the piper so to speak now. I haven't touched laundry in days and right now both machines are going and I have one load in the basket to fold. My boss was here with work and that hindered another load. I told the kids and DH that I plan on getting all my housework done this week and then make no plans for the weekend. We have yet to get to the swim club and my kids really wanted to go yesterday as it was 86 and hot and humid. Hopefully we will have a laid back kind of week and weekend. We are now counting down the days of school. There is this week and next week and we are outta there.

This afternoon DS gets is cast off for the last time. I sure hope the dr. was right and that he will be done with it. Poor thing!!! Yesterday the cast really bothered him for the first time. I think he was sweaty and it itched and we couldn't really relieve it properly at the party (ice or blow dryer). I will let you know how that all goes.

Exams are later this week and then next week, my kids just have to bring their bodies to school. It is such a waste that last week but it is the law. Obviously the lawmakers must like torturing children that are now burned out from a very long school year. We started the Wednesday after Labor Day and only had a Christmas and Easter break and very few days off and no snow days. It has been a long one this year.

My stitching and crochet have been nonexistant since Thursday. I am almost finished the redo of square #41. I am doing the border right now and should finish today in the car and at the dr's office. In cross stitch, I am almost finished the backstitch of Celestial Prayer. I only have the sun to do and the border surrounding the saying. In all honesty it is about one evening of stitching but in my world, it will probably be all week. I sure hope not. I would love to start the summer vacation with another small project to tote to the pool with me. It would be a great start to what I hope is a good summer.

I think that is about it from here. I still miss reading my ezboards. They are not fully back yet and it is depressing to only have one or so forum to go to. I have been reading blogs but I miss checking in with the world during my day. Hopefully everything will smooth out soon. I don't understand the purpose of being malicious. It takes a sick, twisted mind to do such things and get enjoyment from it.
