Ahhhh...Saturday!!
I love Saturdays especially the Saturdays that happen on long weekends. My weekend actually started yesterday because my kids were off. It was a great day and I managed to keep up with my housework so that today I have very little laundry to wash, dry and fold.
Today I plan on enjoying the warm sunshine and stitching and finishing up the laundry that I just mentioned. Tonight we are heading out to Delaware (just 1/2 hour away from us) for dinner at this Mexican restaurant we found last month. It is basically just a family night with dinner out and probably a trip to Target (my fav store) as I need a few things for the kids and us.
Tomorrow we are going to a bbq at our neighbors and best friends house and then tomorrow evening I will be Movin' Out to see Billy Joel's musical. I can't wait and have been humming Billy's tunes for a couple weeks now.
Monday I am having my sis in laws and their families and my father in law here for a bbq. I asked our friends and they may be here but are not 100% sure at this point. That is fine. The invite stays and the door is always open for one more.
I also hope to be stitching during the next three days too. I know today I should get a good portion done on Celestial Prayer's backstitch. I am secretly hoping to finish it and then go back to Coffee or start another small thing. I don't know quite yet what I want to do.
I know this post is boring but there really isn't much going on and I secretly hoped for it and even planned it that way. I have had enough excitement the past few months.
Before I go, I want to address comments from Anneke and Judy. First Anneke...Memorial Day is a USA holiday that honors those men and women who fought for our country. There are parades and fireworks and it is also called the "unofficial start of summer" as lots of people go away for a three day weekend to the beach or mountains and whatnot. Summer Reading is just what it sounds like. The teachers for the next grade my children are in assign a few books that they want them to read this summer. It is not really required by all teachers but it is a way to keep the kids reading for the summer to keep their brains working for all the work that starts back up in September. I have no problems with DD and she has already read one of the three required books. DS only has two choices but he only needs to read one. He doesn't want to buy it til school is out. LOL But he will get it read before September.
Judy, I am not going to Cathy's crafty thing this weekend. Cathy and I will meet in September at CATS (Stitching Festival) being held in Hershey. I don't know if you know this but Cathy and I grew up in Philly (different areas) and we attended the same high school but many years apart. Cathy can correct me but I now live in Delaware County and I am about 2 hours away from where she lives now.
I guess that is about it for now. If I finish something, I will definitely make the time to post a picture.
Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!!!!

I live in York County, so two hours is probably just about right.
