Ideas, Ideas, Ideas
Do you ever have one of those light bulb moments? It comes when you least expect it. Well I had one of those yesterday. And it is all because of my new project.
We moved here a year ago on June 15, 2004. We haven't done much decorating. It was a matter of rehanging our stuff in new places. The only additions were my two Mirabilias which are proudly hanging in my dining room.
Our family room here is much, much larger than our old one and we have lots of wall space including one huge solid wall. Well DH mentioned we would hang family pictures there. We have some but we are waiting til he does the redo of the family room. So far we have only changed the patio sliding door. We still need windows, new walls and shelves which will go on another wall.
I already decided to hang this little project in our family room when it is done. Well that is where the light bulb burned bright. Since it is summer and I will be at the pool club a lot, I have to take smallish projects with me. I can't drag the dragon or Coffee with me. And I don't want to ruin my huge projects with sunscreen, juice, pool chlorine, etc. But these small ones can be washed and they will be stitched quick so they won't have time to have a stain set. My plan is to do lots of littlish designs like my current one that pertains to US as a family. They will be hung along with our photographs and it will make a great wall in our family room. After all, the word family is in our family room and that is where we spend the most of our time together. So last night, I spent lots of time at online LNS and now have a wish list a little longer than my arm. I like the Hinzeit ones and already have "Handyman" for DH. I will get one for each of us (me, DD and DS). There are also others and you will see as the summer progress (I hope) what I plan to do.
So there you have it!!!! Sometimes I amaze myself at what I can come up with. I guess the release of some stress with school, DS's wrist, etc. is making room in my brain for more fun stuff.
Have a great day everyone and thanks so much for the comments on my new project. The entire middle is finished and I start on the tools later today. And I forgot to add that it comes with this cute little gold bandaid charm. I love it!!

What a wonderful idea - have fun!
That's a great idea! It's so fun to be stitching things that are so inspired.
Hi Mia, that's a great idea. I love these little designs, but I have planned to make some sort of quilt with them: I personally like one piece on our wall better than a lot of little ones. But that's a matter of taste.
good luck with buying stuff!
What a great idea, Mia! I'm looking forward to seeing the pieces you choose :)
Sounds like a wonderful idea! I'm sure you're going to have lots of fun.
