Time to Stitch Finally!

Celestial Prayer 5/24/05 Posted by Hello
Last night I sat from about 8 til 10 stitching. It felt so great and I am almost done the half stitches in the middle in the cream/tan color you see. I have to just finish the side where the moon is and I can start the backstitching. It felt so good to sit and stitch. We found DD's project and another project she started and she stitched for a little bit. The project she had started is missing floss so I need to find a suitable color in my stash though I may just have her start it over again as this was one of her first and it is very messy on the back. Til then she will stitch on her Bang on the Door project as she rarely asks for my help and is practically doing it on her own for which I am so proud.

This morning started off hectic with the kids but it is finally looking up for me. I really didn't want to have a bad day after having such a good one yesterday. The laundry monster is finally under control and after two more large loads, I will be able to contain it by doing a load or two every day. With summer approaching I really need to stay on top of it as we will be going to the pool club almost every day.

Tomorrow is a Fun-A-Thon at our school and I will be there all day with the kids. I am hoping the weather holds out. It is another rainy day here and they are calling for showers tomorrow. I really hope we get downpours today and it is outta here by tomorrow morning. These kids need a break from school and what better way to start their Memorial Day weekend than to have something fun to do at school all day. We are off on Friday and I am looking forward to it.

This morning I found the kids' summer reading list and I plan a trip to Barnes and Noble this afternoon. I will try to go myself for some peace and quiet but if not, the kids can help get their books. I am hoping there is a UK magazine or two for me. :)

Have a great day everyone!!!

I think only other stitchers can understand the joy you can get from stitching.
I love to read about your country. I know the term 'memorial day' but don't know exactly what it means.
And a 'summer reading list'is also very new to me.
So I can learn new things!
Enjoy your weekend.

Just read your post about DS - glad his healing is going so well! Your stitching is looking great - are you going to the craft thingy this weekend that Cathy(itwillbefunny.blogspot.com) is going to? I am so jealous - I had a friend who went to some cross stitch retreat - one of these days my kids will be old enough that I can get away and do things like that!
