Spring Cleaning Time?!?!

I guess the beautiful weather and the work we did yesterday got my butt in gear. This morning while waiting for my boss to arrive, I decided to finish up the dining room cleaning. After all I spent a lot of time cleaning and polishing my furniture and DH did the outside of the windows yesterday. All that is left is to fill the china cabinet, clean the chandelier and do the inside of the windows. Well I am happy to report that all that is left to do is two window panes and the chandelier which just needs a quick dusting with a Swiffer. I would have had that done but my boss came and just left a few minutes ago. I just got a cup of coffee and decided to do the living room windows and do a good clean in there. Of course, we barely sit in there so it shouldn't be too hard and I do have to do another once over before April 30 but if I can get it done, it means one less thing to worry about two weeks from now. I guess I got bitten by the spring cleaning bug. So hopefully by the end of this week, I hope to be able to report that my dining room, living room, kitchen and closet are finished. That will be a great feeling. Of course I will have to keep up with my other household stuff but that shouldn't be too hard (I hope). Then with any luck, DH may not have to work the entire weekend and can help with other stuff.

It is slightly cooler here today than yesterday but the sun is shining and I have windows open. I love the smell of fresh air in the house especially since it seems we had such a long winter. It is definitely a mood lifter even on the busiest of days.

I have errands to run later and hopefully that will run into the time I have to get the kids and then it is home, homework and dinner. With any luck, I will have all of that finished before 7 PM and then I hope to settle in and cross stitch. I haven't picked it up in days and it is really starting to call to me. Every time I pass it, I sigh. But I rather get my housework finished so that I can enjoy some quiet time later. I am hoping that later I will be able to post a pic of my lastest CAL square. I am working on #10 - Offset Cluster and it is another fun one. I keep saying to myself that I can't believe I am crocheting this. It is nice being able to create something pretty.

Have a great day everyone!!!

See if you can spread your cleaning bug down to me! I really need to clean but most of the stuff lying around is Pete's and I don't want to nag him when he is sick. Don't you just love this time of the year though - it's really tough being at work today.
