They Can't Be Replaced :)

Last night was so great. It ended up being a great day all around. I had all my preparations done before we went to Mass. We had to attend the 5:15 Mass because it was our turn to take up the gifts. I must say we did a great job and I didn't drop one wafer which was my fear as my hands were shaking. DD carried the wine and she held on to that so tight. DS carried the Bible and his thought which he told me later was that it was upside down. LOL DH carried up the collection basket. I am proud of all of us.

After Mass, we ran to pick up the sandwiches I ordered to serve. We got home and I quick got everything out and set the table in anticipation for my old neighbors. They all arrived and there were tears and laughs. It was such a great evening and somewhere in the middle of it all, I realized that they may be my "old" neighbors but they are my forever friends. We may live about 15-20 minutes away but distance hasn't changed a thing. It was like we never left. They all loved the house and I did try my best to tell them that I know of a house that may be going up for sale soon. LOL The kids were just as happy and by the end of the evening we vowed to do it all again and try to get together every few months. My friend A and I are going to do our old switcheroo where I take one of kids and she takes one of mine. We used to do this all the time with the kids as our kids are best friends and DS and her son are the same age and her DD and my DD are the same age. So in a couple of weeks I will either have her DD or DS spend the weekend and she will take one of mine. I can't wait. And neither can my kids. I actually have it all planned and told her I want her DD.

I plan on taking the girls to Build a Bear and having them each pick out the same bear and same clothing so they will always have it. So hopefully it will work out but that will depend on the weather. That is the biggie right now. Of course it is almost springlike around here. But I know winter has to set in soon. But for the next week our temps are going to be above normal. And now that I bought both of my kids new snow boots, it won't snow at all. So you can blame me if we don't get any snow.

For the rest of the day, I plan on a little laundry and stitching. I have been preparing for a week now and I told DH that today was going to be a down type day. He is working and probably left really early as I didn't see him. In fact, he is with dear BIL and probably BIL picked him up as both the truck and van are still in the driveway.

Have a great day everyone!!!
Kisses

I'm so glad you had a happy evening with your friends. So you are to blame for the lack of snow on the East Coast lol!! I love Build-A-Bear and my first experience was a couple of years ago when my MIL had her 65th birthday there. All the grandkids got to build a bear with help from their Moms and I made one too!. Pete was the only male with us but got over his manly insecurities and kept himself busy taking photos. Another time we went and made bears for my cousin's 2 girls in New Zealand and they were a big hit. This year I sent them new outfits for their bears. I really do hope the weather cooperates so you can have your friend's DD to stay :)

PS We must have been commenting on each other's blog at the same time - how cool is that! I forgot to wish you a great day!

Hi Mia,
lovely that you had such a great time this weekend. Such things give energy rather than taking it away.
