Back to Normal?
I think I am officially done entertaining for the holidays. Gosh it has been a whirlwind around here since Thanksgiving. Last night father in law and the cousins from Italy came for coffee. I never sat down from 6:30 AM yesterday morning til I got in bed at 11:30 PM. But the cousins loved the house and they are at the airport as I type. I only have one more get together but it is at our new neighbors' house on Saturday and I am only going to make a dessert to bring with me and maybe buy a bottle of wine. My house is sparkly considering all the entertaining and I decided I am going to make a resolution to keep it that way. So far so good. This morning I went over the floors with the dustmop and straightened up and that is that. There is nothing else to do. I figure if I do a little something every day, it won't mount up like it did after Thanksgiving. We shall see.
I am also happy to be able to take my stitching out and leave it out. I have been putting it away every day since the New Year. That means less time for me to pick it up and put in a few stitches. When it is at my stitching chair, I have a tendency to do a couple stitches in the morning til I have to drive the kids to school or I may do some stitches while waiting for those last few minutes til the dryer buzzes. I miss that and look forward to it starting today. I am also looking forward to plopping myself in front of the t.v. tonight and stitching til bedtime. Since January 1, I think I have stitched 9 of those days. A lot of them were in the car waiting for the kids to get out of school but there were quite a few nights that I was working on my Coffee project. I would like to see the portion I am working on done by the weekend. I really want to get back to the dragon. I would love to see that finished before DS goes to college.
For the rest of the day til I get the kids, I have dinner prep and some laundry. I wanted to make a run to the store but I may hold off on that til tomorrow. I have some gift cards burning a hole in my pocket. LOL
Have a great day everyone!!!
