Awesome Saturday!!!!

It has been a long time coming but today was just great. Sis in law called early this morning and said we should take a ride to our LNS. We didn't realize we had one til CATS. It is called the Strawberry Sampler and it is 1/2 hour away with Saturday traffic. YES!!! DS went with BIL and nephew to nephew's flag football game and Sis in law, DD and myself went to the LNS. It was so nice to actually walk into a store chock full of cross stitch. My only disappointment was I needed one Crescent Color for Santa Clothes and a few for my purchases today and they didn't have any left. So lack of threads would be my only complaint today.

I bought Raise the Roof's Witchy Washy, Hinzeit's Handyman, Sue Hillis' So Many Tools, So Little Time, some of the threads for Witchy Washy and Handyman, fabric for Handyman and So Many Tools and here is the best. DD picked out a kit called "The Princess is Sleeping" and it comes with this cute flower frame and wire hanger. I also bought her her very own stitching scissors. I got her the Victorian Embroidery ones with purple (her fav. color) handles. She is over the moon. She is happily stitching the "h" right now. She did the "T" at sis in law's today. DD is getting her own stash. LOL DH better watch his wallet from now on.

After the LNS visit, we went to lunch and then to sis in law's. We got dinner ready and sat and stitched for a couple hours. We ate and then stitched some more. The boys were playing football and playing on the trampoline, the DHs were chatting and watching college football. We had lots of fun just sitting around all together in their family room. I just got in and plan on stitching some more. My kind of Saturday. I went back to my Coffee design and I figure in another week I will continue on with the dragon for a bit.

All in all it was a great day. The kids (especially DS) were happy, I was happy and even DH who had to work today was happy. LOL It felt good not to have any stresses today. I feel we all deserved some fun and fun we all had.
