A Perfect Day...

How do you define your perfect day? I have been thinking about this all day between stitching and laundry and my just recent dinner prep. To me, today was a perfect day. But there are other times that the perfect day is a trip to the zoo with the kids, or a party, or a date night with DH. Sometimes, just getting through a normal weekday without conflict is perfect to me.

I guess my perfect days are a lot like me. I try to see something good in every day even if it is a horrible day. So maybe everyday is perfect to me. I don't know. But today was perfect to me. I have been running and obsessing and unpacking and just moving for so long now that I have been longing for a day like today and it worked out....well...just perfect.

I am making great progress on the dragon and with any luck, I will have this section I am working on finished by tonight or tomorrow. My goal was 5-7 grid blocks and to fill in a few of the ones that still need work since when I started the dragon, I was just trying to work from the middle and up to the top. I am happy to report that 5 solid blocks are done and instead of just doing one of the remaining grid blocks in the row, I am doing about 5. I figure that will make it like 7 full grid blocks.

I also made great progress on my laundry. It had piled up and I was doing enough to keep the four of us clothed. LOL So I started bright and early and I have only a couple more loads to do. I am going to try my hardest to get them finished tonight. If not, they will be done before noon tomorrow. That is my plan.

Tonight I am making cheesesteaks for dinner and already have the onions fried and ready to rewarm. As soon as DH arrives home from work, I will fry up the steak and voila....dinner.

On tonights agenda, I plan on more stitching and watching Survivor and spending it with DH and the kids. DD even stitched a little bit today. She is so close to finishing up her first design.

Like the title of my post....today was a perfect day but then again, I guess every day has some perfection in it too.

Sounds like a perfect day to me too! I also spent all day stitching but I was lucky enough to have DH cook dinner for me. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Jo
