Suspense...
Sigh...to this moment I STILL do not know my DS's grades for his ILA (my biggie worry) and Math (no worry, he does well in Math). There really is no excuse. Okay the teachers will tell me they are busy because they are 8th grade homeroom teachers and today was the Award Ceremony and tonight is Graduation. But why couldn't they give the 7th grade homeroom teachers the grades. There really is no excuse to leave us hanging. After all, the 8th graders know all of their grades. Hmph....
DS came out of school at 12:30 today all smiles. I thought to myself as he approached the car that he must have passed and did well. WRONGO!!! He was just happy to be out of school because it is one day closer to Friday and the last day.
Meanwhile, DD has passed every single exam with either one or two wrong. Not bad at all. I will take those grades any day.
So I am really hoping that by tomorrow DS will know his grades. If for some reason he did not pass ILA, I will be in the principal's office on Wednesday morning demanding a re-test. I found out and it is common knowledge that marks do not close for this trimester til Friday, June 16, the last day of school. So there will be time for a re-test or in the alternative a conference with his ILA teacher who probably doesn't even care because she is leaving the school after Friday to go teach elsewhere. Trust me, I will have my answers and soon. I am just really hoping that DS comes home with the grades tomorrow.
The weekend was really nice and we ended up in my old neighborhood (actually right next to our old house) for a good friends' DD High School graduation party. It was so great to be back there. I miss everyone to this day. They have such a special place in my heart and it is so wonderful to know that they have a special place in their hearts for us. In other words, they don't hate us for moving away. LOL
Yesterday was spent traipsing about THIS neighborhood. After Mass, I had all intentions of doing household stuff. Well my best friend K had other plans for me. We ended up throwing an impromptu bbq and had a fun filled afternoon and early evening. It really sucked having to go home and get my kids ready for school today. Her DD just got out of Kindergarten last week so she really only had to get herself ready for work today. Oh well, in a few more days, I will be able to spend more time outside in the evenings.
I did manage a little stitching but still have a little bit to go on California Wine Sampler. I am almost 100% positive I will finish by the weekend. I will post a picture as soon as I finish.
Tonight DD sings in the choir for the 8th grade Graduation. She is very excited and can't wait. She must have asked me 100 times if I was going to have dinner ready because she has to be at Church by 6:40. I told her 100 times YES dinner will be ready and even the dishes finished before I take her. LOL Kids, you gotta love them.
After I pick her up at Church after the Graduation, I plan on some stitching and relaxing til bedtime. I figure the kids can stay up a little later because they aren't learning anything. It is a matter of cleaning out desks, bringing home books and just winding the year down. After last week, they deserve to do nothing til Friday.
I better run so I can have dinner and dishes done before 6:40. Have a great evening everyone!!

Those impromptu gatherings are some of the best usually! Glad all this drama with your kids exams and grades will soon be coming to an end for you Mia! Sounds like you could use a little time to destress. :)
My youngest dd drives me batty sometimes with her excitement over things. They just can't help it, lol!
Hope you get to hear something soon on that exam! The suspense is killing me, and he isn't even my son!
