TGIF and June Goals

Good Morning Everyone!! Happy Friday and Happy Weekend to all of you!!

I can't believe it is June already. This year has flown on by. I guess days sort of blend together when you are so busy that you don't know which end is up. I sure hope summer slows down a bit. I want to enjoy it.

Since my last post, our carpet is ordered. I sure hope I don't have the same problem as Judy with Home Depot. I gave my check last night with that sinking feeling as the whole time, Judy's post about Home Depot carpet installation was in my head. I need this carpet before July because in July I will have a big party for DS's 13th birthday the beginning of the month (I don't have a date yet because I want to talk to my sis in laws to make sure they don't have plans). As of last night, the carpet will be in the store by the 11th with install the next 2-5 days. Of course, my kids get out of school on the 16th and I go every year to the Closing Mass. It is going to be my luck that the carpet gets installed then. I am hoping if that is the case (I won't turn down that day) that my FIL can stay here for a bit til I get home.

DH also grouted the fireplace and it really looks awesome. So now he will be doing the interior doors, some lighting stuff and I guess some odds and ends. He mentioned it last night but of course, I wasn't listening very well.

I am looking forward to the weekend. Having a short week at school really took it out of me. I am so ready for summer to be here and I know my kids are too. We need a break from school. :)

I managed a good portion of Lazio in Tesori last night. Hopefully before the weekend is over, I will be finished and will move onto the next region. That brings me to my goals for June. I am making short ones with the hopes that I manage a little more.

1. Finish Lazio region and Liguria region on Tesori D'Italia
2. Finish California Wine Sampler
3. Find a little project that can be a pool project

Wine Sampler may be tricky because as of the 16th my kiddos are out of school. I have been managing 2-3 letters per day while waiting for the kids to get out of school. I won't take this to the pool with me because of the hand dyed fabric and threads. I think I could pretty much finish up the letters but not the border by the end of school. If that is the case then I will take an evening to finish it off. I guess we will see what happens. :)

I better get my day rolling along. I have bills to pay and the normal household stuff to finish.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Egads, I hope your carpet woes are nonexistent! Mine wasn't bad, just not with "my" timetable. Once the carpet got here, it was 4 days until it was installed. Start to finish was just over 3 weeks. And, they told me my carpet took so long because it was the something-or-other special...apparently EVERYONE was ordering it! Can't wait to see the finished product!

Where oh where did May go - that's what I want to know!! In my mind it should be about May 10, but the calendar insists it's June 4, lol!

Keeping my fingers crossed on a successful carpet installation with good timing. :D
