Happy Weekend

Good morning everyone!!

Thank you so much for all the kind comments on my new "look". Anna, I still have "Betty" and can change back one day if I feel like it. The only thing we have in common is our hair color. I wish I could be that thin. LOL But I like to think that "Betty" and I have the same personality. :)

Dianne, I have no idea if these graphics were used for McDonalds. Jane from Gemmak found her for me. She also looks like me with the shoulder length hair and love of coffee and chocolate cake. Unfortunately, she never gains weight. I can smell chocolate and gain 10 pounds. LOL

Yesterday was the official start of our long holiday weekend here in America. My kids were off school for Ascension Thursday. Today is an extra day off and then Memorial Day Weekend. I don't have to look at a school uniform til Tuesday morning. Yeah me!!!

Today we are going out to lunch with my daughter's second grade teacher. Before you get confused, she is in 3rd grade but we have kept in touch with Mr. F. all year. In fact, Mr. F. is now going to be the 4th grade teacher and my DD has been praying hard that she gets him next year. He is an awesome teacher and he really challenged my DD and she rose above it all. I think if she gets him again, she has it made.

Tomorrow the carpet guys come and measure for our carpet for the family room. I can't wait. We went and ordered last night and also bought the tile for around the fireplace. DH plans to have the tiling started and (hopefully) finished before the weekend is over. This room is FINALLY coming to a finish. I can't wait to get down here again. I love our family room and now I love it even more because it is something we did and it will be very welcoming and comfortable for us and all who enter this house. :)

The rest of the weekend is a birthday party and the normal bbqs for Memorial Day. I am thinking of having something here. I don't know yet. I have to talk to DH.

I finally got to stitch a little bit last night on Tesori. I would love to have Lazio finished this weekend, but I don't see it happening. At least I got to stitch as I haven't much felt like stitching the past week because of allergies and itchy, burning eyes.
