This and That

Today I wake up and it is dreary out. The weather people said it would be partly cloudy. They were wrong. It is gray and dreary and looks like rain at any moment. I am not complaining as we need the rain. What I am complaining about is that today is Picture Day for my kids. They looked so great this morning. By the time DD gets her picture taken the weather will have her hair all over the place. Sigh.... DS should be okay but then again who knows. LOL

I didn't stitch last night but did manage to finish up square #8-Chevron Relief Stitch. I did this one three times to get it to size and the third time was a charm. It turned out nice and I will start the next one today. I think it is #41 the Fan and Popcorn stitch. I am not sure. All I know is that I don't have to cart around square #8 with me again.

I have lots I can do today and I don't feel like doing any of it. I know I will do something. I just don't know what it will be. Chances are, I will do some laundry that can go in the dryer. I will save the hang up stuff for tomorrow when I hope the weather will be better. I also have straightening to do but maybe I will do that this afternoon. If not, there is always tomorrow. I also want to stitch as I haven't stitched in 5 nights. I had the best of intentions last night but by the time I got the dinner dishes done and got the kids ready for bed, I was in no mood. Maybe today I can get my stuff done a lot earlier (like dinner) and will have a couple of uninterrupted hours. The weather doesn't look promising and that is probably a good thing because we won't be out and about.

In other news, we did decorate the outside for Halloween. I just need to get some mums to plant. DH went last night and they were out of yellow. I don't want white ones so I will wait til today to get them.

Have a great day everyone!

I can totally understand the hair thing. I have natural curls that are not always so cooperative when the humidity is up.

I recognized what you were saying about the household stuff. I work the same way most of the times. and for stitching too: sometimes you should want to stitch, but you're just not in the mood anymore when you have the time.
good luck and we'll hope for beautiful pictures :-)

We decorated this past weekend - my 6 yo is in hog heaven with all the ghosts, witches, and pumpkins about.

I can't wait to see your 63 squares when it is done!
