Looking Ahead...

Well it's another Monday here and we are all tired from the weekend. I had a great Mother's Day with homemade gifts from both kids, flowers from DH and bought and homemade cards. It was a great day and then we went to eat at sis in laws. Of course I made chicken wings and a cake. So much for doing nothing on Mother's Day that required work. But it is something I enjoy so that counts.

Today is my 18th Wedding Anniversary. Gosh where the heck did the years go. I have actually been with DH 22 years so I have been with him all of my adult life. We have a great marriage with some bumps here and there but for the most part, it is wonderful and I know I married my soul mate.

This is a busy and festive week in our household. Of course today is our Anniversary and we are bbqing tonight. Tonight DS has Confirmation practice and tomorrow evening he makes his Confirmation. We have dinner reservations afterwards so it should be a nice but tiring evening.

Wednesday is DH's birthday and Thursday is mine. Since we have been spending so much money lately we are not doing presents and dinners and such for each occasion this week. On Saturday DH and I are going to Atlantic City to the casinos for dinner, drinks and playing the slots a little bit. We go every year so we decided we will still do that but cut out the other stuff.

So I am looking forward to the week ahead.

I didn't do much stitching this weekend but will make up for it today. I only have to stuff the washer and dryer and fold when needed so I may stitch between loads. Right now I plan on doing a quick straightening of the house while the first load is washing and then after that I will pull out my stitching as I really want the Celestial Prayer done. Some time this week I will dig through stash for another smallish project to do. I don't know if it will be something for DD or something for Christmas. Who knows, I may finally start an ornament. I know way back in January I was doing one a month. So much for that. LOL But as long as I enjoy what I am doing that is all that counts. :)

Have a great Monday and week ahead everyone!!!

Happy Anniversary, Mia! You have been so busy lately! I hope that once summer comes, you'll catch a bit of a break. Can you believe I've never been to A.C.? We've always vacationed in Wildwood, though.
