Le Nouveau Sampler Framed and Matted by DH on 4/12/05
DH did such a great job on this last night. It took a little time but it was so worth it. The mat matches the background of the lady in the middle. It is perfect. DH has an art background (thank goodness) and I bought him a mat cutter with a 50% off coupon at AC Moore and within a 1/2 hour it was mounted, matted and framed. I love it and can't wait to hang it. Hopefully I will have a pic of My Lady's Garden tomorrow or Friday. It depends if he has the time tonight.

Looks great!!!!
Hi Mia, I hadn't stopped by in a few days and there was a lot of me to read. The spring cleaning bug isn't seen here yet...
But I love the stories about your cross stitch history. It's so nice to see the works of other stitchers. And they are all wonderful. My husband has framed some works for me too (but not that professionally). It will look beautiful on your wall! And the memories always comes with our projects, that's one of the niciest things of stitching I think.
Have a great day.
The framing is just georgous!! Huge congratulations to you for the stitching and to DH for the framing part!! Well done!
Unfortunately my DH not only is useless at framing, but also even at hanging framed pieces LOL.
Hey Mia!
Question for you on this mat cutter (I'm looking at the finished product back in April - nice work!)...do you know what brand it is? I've been looking on ebay, but I have NO idea what I am looking at! HAHA I did frame and mat a cross stitched dove I did many moons ago and I cut the mat with an exacto knife - not an easy task! I'd love some input on these cutters.
