Back to the Grind

Sigh....Easter break is officially over. The kids have been in school for 1/2 hour and I forgot how much I enjoy the peace and quiet while having coffee. Heck, I think there were a few days last week that I didn't even have coffee. LOL Anyway, it is Monday and time to get myself back in the swing of things. I have lots to do.

Yesterday I had the best intentions of getting a head start but no such luck. I blame it on putting the clocks forward. I miss that hour. The day flew by and at bedtime I wasn't tired. What is up with that? It will take me a good week to get myself back in the groove. So yesterday was pretty much a wash out for any head starts for the week.

I did manage to get to AC Moore for floss and need to go back today. I bought 155 yesterday for a friend and I told the cashier but she told me that unfortunately she had to ring them up separately. At least all the check out lines were open and no one was grumbling behind me. Today I need to go back and finish up hers and then I may go tomorrow for some for me. That is if I get motivated enough to make a list to kit some things up.

I also have to finish the invites for my daughter's Communion. They must be mailed by Wednesday. I have them written out. I just need to do envelopes.

I also need to order her cake. It will be nice if I can just decide on what kind of cake. I also need to finish the menu so I can tell my dear sis in laws what they can help with. It is going to be busy because on top of this, I need to get the usual laundry, cleaning, cooking, etc. done. It will happen but right now I decided to take it one step at a time because when I woke up this morning I did so with that overwhelming feeling. Nothing gets done when you feel overwhelmed. So I am breaking it down in pieces for today and probably the rest of the week.

I did manage to stitch some last night. I started on the next page of Coffee which is Page 1. After this page, the entire top portion of the design will be finished. This thing is all solid stitching and I really am enjoying it even if it gets slow going at times.

I also want to start my next crochet square before I get the kids from school today. I did get another H hook yesterday but it is not like the ones I like. It is an acrylic one. Hopefully sis in law will give me back my hook soon. I don't know that I am going to like this plastic thing. I will let you know how that goes. I guess as long as I get the gauge it will be alright.

I better get moving on my day.
Have a great day everyone!!

The time change always screws me up. I still don't understand it. I have been there, at the craft store, buying hundresds of skeins of floss, with the cashier and everyone around me scowling. The things we endure for our art!
