I Think I Can, I Think I Can...

Between fits of coughing, I managed to get most of my laundry finished today. YAY Me!! Then sis in law R called and wanted to know about something she was getting for DD. She said she wants to go to the toy store tonight. I didn't think twice about the call and we chatted and then hung up. Awhile later, it hit me. I CAN GO WITH HER!!!! So I called back and she said that was her plan tonight unless things changed when she arrives home from work. If all goes well, I may be able to finish up DD TONIGHT!!! DD has a few more things I need to get and then it will just be small things for both DS and DD and that can be finished up before the end of the week. I also want to get a little something extra for DNephew. So I will check out the toy store if I get there tonight. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I can get out tonight with Dsis in law.

If not, I need to be home and strap down DS to finish up a project. Oh he is so tough. I know he is overwhelmed and it seems to me that the teachers are really laying on the work in this final week and half til Christmas break. But come on. He has TWO projects due between now and next Wednesday (their last day til January 2). Last night he wanted to start it but he had so much homework, I didn't have the heart to make him sit down at 9 PM to start it. Hopefully I will go out tonight and DH can be the one to glue him to the computer chair to get it started.

I checked my list and realized that I don't have much more shopping to do. That is such a relief but of course these last gifts are for the toughest people to buy for. Sigh....but it will get done. I also have a chance to get out on Sunday (again with dear sis in law R) but I am hoping I don't have to because I want to bake the rest of my cookies. But we will see what happens. I am just glad we have this last weekend free. No dinners, no parties, nothing. All I have planned is a trip to the mall Friday night with other dear sis in law C and DD to go to Build a Bear. Of course, I will have my eyes opened for any of the gifts I still need. Unfortunately one of those gifts is for sis in law C. But I will manage somehow. Maybe I will throw her in the line for Santa with DD and tell her I need to stop at the restroom. Now that's a plan.

Hopefully I will be able to stitch soon. Then I can write about stitching again. LOL But I do miss it but I know it is waiting patiently for me. :)
