Thank You and September Stitching

Thank you so much for your kind comments about my grandmother's sampler. I will definitely show it framed but that is down the road. Don't worry about the framing. DH is a pro and we will be getting the archival information and supplies we need from our nephew who has a degree in Art. I am so glad I shared my legacy with you. I barely remember my grandmother but I can almost feel her when I touch her sampler. I also see her love of stitching in that sampler. It truly is a work of art.

Today has been the best day so far this weekend. The rain FINALLY stopped and it is sunny and cool outside. I love it. I love days that I can have windows opened with a fresh breeze blowing inside. It is a great feeling.

We really haven't done much this weekend. I think summer finally caught up with us. I have been busy though. Not so much with housework but with stitching. I am almost finished with "12 Days of Christmas". I have to finish up the number 12 at the beginning and then attach the charms. Be on the lookout for a picture later this week. I will then finish this into a "no sew cube" and it will be displayed this holiday season. I am excited about that.

I also picked out a small car project since school starts Wednesday and I will be spending about 1/2 in the car every day waiting on my kids. It is another Christmas design and it is a mini-banner kit I got at AC Moore. It is snowmen and says "Snow Place Like Home for the Holidays". Cute!!

After I am finished with 12 Days, I plan on working on Rose for a bit. It is over 1/2 way finished and I may see it finished soon if I can stitch like I did this weekend.

After CATS, I will get back to work on Tesori. I figure all the September hustle and bustle with back to school will subside by then and we will have a fairly regular routine. My plan with Tesori is to stitch a region and then move onto another project for a week or two. Chances are the other project will be Coffee. If I should finish Rose, I will start something new to take its place.

So for September, I plan on
1. Finish 12 Days of Christmas by Hinzeit and assemble into cube/rectangle.
2. Start car project and have it half way finished by the end of the month.
3. Pick up Rose again. It probably won't get finished but will be close.
4. Pull out Coffee from my WIP pile in closet.
5. Go to CATS and make sure I get some Halloween/Fall type designs and a sampler. After all, I don't have any of these in my stash. LOL
6. Most important, enjoy stitching and enjoy every day of my DS's last year in grade school. :)

Have a great day everyone and Happy Labor Day tomorrow!

Whoa - your pick up line is only 30 minutes? you lucky thing you! My wait is 50 minutes on average for Travis alone. That's why we now walk!

I have not been around in a few days. I just read and seen the post on the sampler of your grandmothers. That is just fantastic! WOW. I can see where you would be speechless for sure. To think that she completed that at the age of 13 is just amazing as well. That is a TRUE treasure that you have there!
