Take Two

Remember when I said I love Monday!! Well I didn't love yesterday and it all started out so great too!! After I finished my blog entry, I went about my normal business. I was waiting for my boss who is late as always. Then the phone rang. It was the school telling me DS was sick. I KNOW he was catching a cold but there is no need to get him. I really strongly dislike our school nurse. I call her a nurse wannabee because she seems to know more than anybody in the entire world. Enough about her, I don't want high blood pressure today. I quick changed my clothes and was about to walk out the door when my boss came. He is not too happy that I have to leave NOW to get DS. I tell him to wait, I will be right back. He then wants to know how long I will be. Now how the heck am I supposed to know that. The school is only minutes away. I need to get entry into the school, go to the office to sign DS out, go to the nurse to retrieve DS and then get back out to the parking lot. 10 minutes tops, I guess!!! Anyway, I go get DS who looks FINE to me other than the red nose and the cough. We get home and I get him settled with tylenol, cough medicine and his bed.

I go back to my boss who looks a little impatient. Well, excuse me for life getting in the way. Can you tell my nose was just a little out of joint at this point? Wait it gets better!!! He tells me that the stuff I did a few weeks (YES A FEW WEEKS) ago was WRONG WRONG WRONG!! Excuuuuuuse ME!!! I only typed what he told me to type. So I spent the next two hours with him over my shoulder fixing stuff that shouldn't have been fixed in the first place. Meanwhile, poor DS couldn't come lay on the sofa because boss had stuff all over. Then he leaves finally with stuff that will probably come back to me. One of the things has been across my desk at least 5 times and this is a 20-some page document. But I won't go there!! I just don't ever want to see it again.

Now it is 1:30 and I had nothing accomplished that I set out to do. I gave DS some soup for lunch and straightened a little bit. Then it was time to get DD and get home to finish making dinner. I never got to the Home and School meeting and I never got to stitch. I was just too tired from trying to play catch up all day long.

Today is different though. DS is feeling a lot better. He was in bed by 6:30 last night and slept through the night til this morning. I was never able to give him his last dose of medicine, he was sleeping that soundly. Both kids are off to school and I doubt my boss will be here. He left no further work and I could use a day or two to cool off. I already went to the produce store and the Acme for a few things and laundry is now started and almost ready to hang out. I feel a lot better to today. I always have the best of intentions and DH always tells me that I get my stuff done. I just want to get it all done at the same time. LOL

So I am going to be nothing but positive today and get done what I can. I am also going to include some stitching on my ornament. Friday the kids are off and I plan on making a trip to Joanns to check out fabric for backing. :)
