TGIF
YEAH!! Blogger finally let me post a picture. Anyway, Ta-Da..here is my progress on Rose. If I didn't have all the interruptions this week, I am sure more would be done but I am happy with the progress and hopefully this will be a finish before the end of the year. I am really enjoying it and now that the rose is surrounded by the background, it really looks awesome (to me).
I am so glad today is Friday but I do have one gripe. It is so humid here but not hot enough to kick on the air conditioning. We are finally ( like in the last few minutes) getting much needed rain and I hope it keeps up through the day. I did hear on the news that it will get heavier tonight but I figure if it remains steady, it will be a good thing and my desert...umm...yard will maybe get a little green instead of looking like a hayfield. I also hope it cools down a bit. I can't stand the humidity. Yuck!
Again, we don't have a whole lot on the agenda this weekend. I am hoping to get some more stitching done and even some scrapbooking. That would be neat. I have to see what Kim wants to do but if not, I may get my stuff from her house and do a page or two on my own.
Tonight, Kim and me and our girls are going shoe shopping. We are also going to go to Target and maybe Old Navy as we (my family) all need sweats and sweatshirts for the fall and upcoming winter. I also need to get a few other things at Target but they are not so much necessities and I can get them at a later date. That should be fun.
For the rest of the day, I need to do some laundry and straightening. I worked all morning typing for my attorney-boss. He just left with it and everything was in order. I am so glad about that as this thing was over 20 pages typed and tons of forms besides. He is glad this will all be leaving his hands shortly as these clients have been nothing but annoyances from the start.
I also managed to finish square #41 in the CAL and I started the next one which is #55 the parallel post stitch. This is another one with two repeat rows so it should move quickly but I doubt it will be finished today and I don't crochet on weekends. At least that is what I am trying to do as I rather spend that time on weekends cross stitching.
Well I best be going. Have a great weekend everyone!
PS for Judy: The dragon is sitting quietly in the closet. I haven't worked on this in about 3 months. That is why I need a rotation to get more done on this. He is my oldest WIP. :)

The Rose looks great! I am envious of you having the patience to work on that solid background like that. I lose interest quickly with backgrounds so I've learned to avoid them.
The rose is awesome Mia! It's raining and humid here too but we really need the rain.
BTW I can hear the dragon screaming from the closet - he wants out :)
Hope you have a great weekend!
I just thought of you the other day - I saw the dragon at our Hobby Lobby! Maybe he escaped!!! HAHA
Don't sweat the dragon, though - I have patterns of stuff I've intended to do since before I was married almost 13 years ago. Sad, sad, sad.
The rose is beautiful. Ann
