Here Comes the Sun

It is so bright and sunny out today. Hard to believe how dark and dreary it has been. But it is COLD outside. I really thought about pulling out the winter coats for the kids today. It is that cold!!! Brrrrrr!!!

With the cold comes the cold. LOL I have a bit of a head cold on the right side of my head. Either that or my brain is finally fried. Yesterday afternoon/evening I was just miserable. I even tried to stitch last night but every time I moved my head in a different direction, it hurt. Now today is a different story. I am feeling much better with no headache, etc and figure I will tackle tons of stuff today. I was supposed to go volunteer at school with paperwork but decided to play hooky. I figure if I don't have to run out, I am more apt to get stuff done, especially the stuff I didn't do yesterday.

Yesterday afternoon, we had to run to the mall to get DS's teacher a gift certificate for her birthday today. I am a Homeroom Mom and I volunteered to get the gift card for the kids to give her. While at the mall, it happened. I started my mental list of Christmas gifts as the kids were looking in stores. So that means, I will now put it to paper to put in my wallet and start watching sales circulars and internet sites to get the best deals. I always try my hardest to buy a few things per week so it doesn't put a hurting on our finances. I love it when I know exactly what to get but it doesn't always work that way. So I guess for the next 2 months, I will be thinking and doing Christmas. Gosh, it seems like we just went through one already this year. LOL

I have already felt like baking because of the cooler weather so I will pull out my recipes in the next few weeks and start my holiday baking early. I normally do and freeze whatever I bake so it doesn't put a hurting on me in December when it seems like we don't have a free moment.

Now for today, I am back into my routine and am ready to tackle the chores I put off yesterday. Maybe when I take a break, I will search some sites for prices on the things the kids saw yesterday afternoon. Maybe this will be the year that I have my act together before December 24. LOL

Have a great day everyone!

So, I guess I shouldn't tell you that, besides my brother and Scott's grandfather, I'm done with Christmas? (Oh yeah, and I haven't gotten the S-A-N-T-A stuff yet either - that's last-minute.).

Your planning sounds like what's going through my head right now ... although I have three kids birthdays before Christmas first - ugh! I plan to start buying a few things this week too :)
Hope you keep feeling better, enjoy the sunshine.
