Ho Hum

Good Morning All!! The past couple days have been busy but boring and this morning was no different. I did go do my volunteer stuff at school and just got in a few minutes ago. I have no idea what to make for dinner but since I have to go get veggies at the produce market around the corner, I am thinking tacos. Easy meal.

I have managed to stitch a bit and am now getting anxious because I really want to get to the halfway point in Rose. I really think by the weekend I can do it. I am reaching a point where there are clumps of one color and last night before I knew it, I had a whole leaf finished that wasn't there an hour before. Cool in my book and a great motivator.

Crochet is another story. For now I think I am putting aside my square #55. I can't get it to gauge or actually anywhere near where I can block it, stretch it, etc. So I figure the best thing to do is put it aside. When I pick it back up again, I will drop a couple stitches. But for right now the thought of restarting it yet again is driving me insane.

In putting that aside for a week or two has opened up a slot for a car project. My very good friend Jo sent me some freebies the other day and I fell in love with one of them. I think it would make a cool scissor fob if I do it over one. So I think I am going to calculate it today and kit it up and start it. It is called "Star Light, Star Bright" by Little House Needleworks. Jo has a picture of her finished one on her blog. That really made me fall in love with it more. I don't have an excuse not to do it as I have small pieces of both 32 ct. and 28 ct. fabric in a bluish green color which I think will be perfect. I also have the DMC too. I also think having a small finish will really motivate me to get some ornaments or something else done between now and the beginning of December. So I really don't have a choice and I HAVE TO DO IT!!! LOL I will let you know how it goes as I plan on kitting it up before I have to get the kids from school today.

So that made me happy knowing that I will start something small and not feel guilty about putting the afghan square aside for a bit.

Not much else happening at the moment other that the normal everyday stuff. I actually like it that way. I just wish there was a way to have the house clean itself. I have mega straightening to do and will be a good girl and go do that now.
