Click! Click! CLICK!
That sound you hear is my clickie-finger!! And boy did it click!!! Yikes!! And I blame Silkweavers for having their Spooktacular Sale. LOL Because I didn't go to CATS and had to cancel my room reservation, I had some stash money burning a hole in my pocket. After seeing that Silkweavers was having a sale, I clicked around my favorite haunts and found other ONS that were having sales. I ended up at Stitching Bits and Bobs last night. They are having a great sale and I decided to "window shop" so to speak. I filled up my cart with some goodies and walked away. Well after dinner, I realized I wanted that stuff so I bought it. I bought six charts and my wallet isn't even burning. I am one happy camper. Blogger is being good so here are pictures of what I bought:
"Coffee Menu" by Little House Needleworks
"Fresh Ground" Charmed Sampler by Hinzeit
"New Millennium Rose" by Silver Lining
"Peace Pink Rose" by Silver Lining
And after I was finished there, I went back to Silkweavers and bought myself another Medium Treat Bag. I actually had a bit of money leftover after my purchases so I will put that aside for any speciality threads, etc. that I may need when I finally get around to doing this stuff. But I justify it that half the fun is collecting. LOL
As soon as I was finished, I immediately got offline and stitched for over 2 hours. Shopping was a great motivator in that I want to have a finish so that I can start something new. Of course that won't be til I get one more flower panel finished but if the next one stitches up as fast as this one is, it will be smooth sailing. I also figured I will set goals on the dragon and my other Coffee design before I add one of my new purchases. But it felt so good to buy some new stuff. It has been awhile since I purchased anything. To be honest there was stuff coming out that I wasn't crazy about and I figured seeing some of the stuff at CATS would inspire me. Well there was no CATS for me this year so I have had some time to shop online, look at blogs and bbs and get the inspiration I needed to make my purchases. And it felt GREAT!!!
In other news around here, it is freezing!! DD wore her winter jacket to school today. We had a frost last night but I don't think it was as bad as the weather people were saying it was going to be. But it is cold and our temps are only going to be in the 50s. I don't mind as I prefer the cooler weather as I tend to get more accomplished when the temps are cooler. Today I am stripping beds and putting on warm flannel sheets. We didn't use the flannel sheets last year but this year we will because we are going to try to be good with the heat and not abuse it. I am really not looking forward to seeing my heating bills this year. DH is also going to get that plastic insulation stuff for our huge living room window so that we can try to conserve and keep the heat in the house. That window is an original window and is huge and there is a breeze coming in when the wind blows. I keep the vertical blinds just about shut to keep out the chill. Once winter sets in, the blinds will be no help.
Besides the sheets and changing the beds, I have to do lunch mother today. I think today is my last day that I am subbing for this lady who has been out. Hopefully I will be called for other lunch mothers since I am on the sub list. I enjoy seeing my kids and being with the kids that I help/watch during lunch.
Tonight I will watch Survivor and enjoy stitching. I am so hoping for another couple hours of stitching time. Since I don't have to be online shopping tonight, I am sure I can get more than 2 hours in.
Have a great day everyone!

Nice stash Mia!! You have very similar tastes to me :) I haven't seen that wine sampler before but I think I might put it on my wish list lol!
We put our flannel sheets on at the weekend and I warn you that it makes it hard to get out of bed in the morning! Pete likes a cool house (our thermostat is set to 65 degrees) so I've been coming home, getting in my flannel PJs and curling up on the couch with a quilt. Winter is definitely just around the corner!
Wow love the samplers Mia :)
Wish we could put a winter duvet on, but for some reason its hitting 68 deg at the moment. Did someone not tell mother nature that its winter next month?
My two favorite beverages - coffee and wine! I love your choices and thanks for the link, I feel like shopping, too!
I love that wine one! That's cute!
Hi Mia, the Peace Rose is beautifull. Have a great stitching!
:o) Juul.
Shopping is the best thing for a slump!
Wow, now that's a nice haul! I this I'm going to add a couple of your purchases to my ever-growing wish-list. Have fun getting the package!
It's getting really cold here as well, so staying in bed gets more and more attractive, sigh. Just 15 minutes longer...
