My Thoughts on Life and Family and Where Every Stitch is a hope, a dream, a smile, a prayer, a good thought.

YEAH!!!!

I can stitch!!! After one week of this finger, I finally got the nerve to pick up a needle and stitch. Yesterday afternoon while waiting for DS bedding to wash and dry, I picked up "Rose" and very carefully started to stitch. I still can't touch anywhere near my fingernail, but I can hold a needle again. Oh it was a great feeling. I stitched for about an hour yesterday afternoon and would have done more but unfortunately, the bed wasn't going to make itself and dinner wasn't going to warm itself up. LOL

Yesterday I had tons of interruptions and couldn't get all three beds done. So today I am going to attempt the other two (mine and DD). DD's is already washing and drying and after that I just have her comforter and then the making up of the bed. Then hopefully early this afternoon I can start and finish mine. In between I plan on stitching. I should be able to finish up the rose by this evening if my plans go as planned. LOL Then I need to work my way to the top and those are all going to be pretty shades of purples, blues and blends of both colors.

Besides the beds and stitching, DS has to go to his last tutoring session, I need to run to the drugstore for shampoo and after DH gets home, I need to run to the grocery store for a few things. It is turning out to be a good day for this as the weather is so humid and so dark looking. We are expecting the rain that Katrina brought either tonight or tomorrow.

Have a great day everyone!!

congrats on your finger! I had a smile: the only important thing is that you can stitch, not that you can do your household without the trouble of a painful finger... stitchers are funny people, aren't they?
we had a lot of news about Katrina too, it's horrible to see.
good luck with laundry, grocery shopping and the rain.
