Summer Vacation

Ahhhhhhhh!!! It is finally here. The first Monday of summer vacation. Of course, I am up my usual time but that is cool because I can get my icky stuff out of the way so much earlier today. DD is still asleep and DS is at sis in law's house. He will be here shortly with my nephew as I watch my nephew during the summer. Our temps are still a bit low so we won't be going to the pool. I can't stand seeing my kids with blue lips from being in the cold water and then hitting the cold air. LOL Today is the day I get lots of stuff out of the way. I have laundry and some cleaning and straightening to do. I also have some work for the attorney which I will do as soon as I blog. I even know what I am making for dinner which is cool. I plan on chicken cutlet and will have them breaded and fried early today so I can clean the kitchen mess and then just rewarm them at dinner time. I also plan on finishing up "Too Many Tools". It is thisclose to being done. I am excited about that. I haven't stitched all weekend but believe me, there is just a saw and the rest of a drill to go. Not much and then I can start something else or go back to one of my biggies (dragon or Coffee). I don't know which. Chances are I will start another small one so I can take it to the pool but I don't know if I will continue it at home or pull out one of my others.

The weekend was very low key around here for a change. Saturday we went nowhere and I did some major bathroom cleaning. I do wipe it everyday but it needed a complete clean including all tile. That is my biggest chore and it is done. I also started on DD's closet but gave up on that quickly because I feel like I am doing her closet every other week as her and her friend like taking stuff out. Well DD is NOW helping me get it back in order and she is not happy. Hopefully this will teach her to go in her closet and pull books and such out when friends are over. I will hopefully get some of that done.

Father's Day was quiet as DH worked part of the day. Then he came home and putzed around the house for a bit and then we went to my sis in law's for dinner. That was fun and we were home by 9:00.

Right now it is chilly here and the sky looks dark like it wants to rain. I guess I should turn on the t.v. to see what is up in the world as I don't think I looked at the t.v. all weekend.
