Some Normalcy At Last
It feels like forever since I felt normal. I have nothing to think about, really nothing to plan and I have a normal day for the entire day. It feels like I have been running since before Thanksgiving and that was a long time ago. LOL Anyhoo, I am enjoying the day. The laundry is getting done and is no longer so threatening and with any luck I will have the majority of it done before bedtime. The kids are in school and looking forward to having off on Thursday and Friday. Thursday is Ascension Thursday and Friday is just an extra day off. Yeah Us!!! I took out ribs for dinner and need to warn DH he is bbquing tonight. And me, well I got online earlier to do my usual haunts and now I plan on blogging and then some stitching which has been unheard of in forever. :)
Thank you for the well wishes for DS. We still can't believe it and DH and I are still shaking our heads. But DS said he feels a lot better so the poor little guy has been suffering but thinking it was normal. So I have him back on some Tylenol in the evening to relax him and he had a great night sleep considering he has this thing on his wrist. Yes, he is wearing a robe so the majority of the cast will be hidden from view. Hopefully the Bishop will see it and maybe give DS an extra little blessing. We could use all the blessing we can get. :)
The house is so clean that I need to keep it this way so I decided to go back to my FlyLady routine that I did a few years back. It really does work and I straightened as I left rooms today and it looks great. Tonight I plan on giving back some trays and bowls that were left here on Saturday. That will take a great load off my dining room table. DD will also start writing her thank you cards so I can keep that little section of table under control.
Last night I took a good look at Celestial Prayer and it really does not need a lot more done. I have a little bit of cross stitch which I hope will be finished today. Then there is a good portion of half stitch and then backstitch. I normally like to backstitch as I go but since this is a small design, I left it til the end. After that it will be done and ready for DS's room. This will also be my first finish for the year. I plan on pulling out another something small to do too. If not, going back between the dragon and Coffee, I will have no finishes to report this year. So I am feeling good that I am so close to a finish and I have some time today to stitch and enjoy the day which is beautiful here today.
Have a great day everyone!!!

I have a somewhat personal question, which you can opt not to answer if you wish...what high school did you go to? I was wondering because when you wrote about JPII visiting, you said it was near where you were in school. I attended Hallahan.
Nothing personal at all, Cathy. Yes I did attend Hallahan but I probably graduated when you were born. LOL I left a longer comment in your blog.
Yes, I had Ms. Biello, and she still plays chicken fat! I also had Ms. Lobo, Ms. McCaffrey, and Sister Ida. Do the names Cathy, Terry or Patty Warner ring any bells? I can't believe you went to HH too. I had a sneaky suspicion though!
Mrs. Lockhardt (sp?) was there when I was, but by the time I had bio, she had become disciplinarian (she was really strict about hemlines, too!). Ms. Vitakis was still there and I had her for geometry. She left not long after I graduated (as did Ms. McCaffrey, who is now working at Little Flower as an administrator, the traitor!). Ms. Anisko is still there, or at least she was as of last year when my younger sister graduated. My locker was in the pit for all but my Freshman year, when my locker was on 2nd floor, Cathedral building. I'm third generation Hallahan, my Grandmom, Mom, all of my aunts, and all my female cousins and two sisters have graduated. We jumped in the fountain (and several others around town) every year. I was even on the Channel 6 news for the entire summer after my Junior year, in a montage they did on Fridays. I never saw it, but I heard a lot about it from people who recognized me!
