Wednesday Wanderings

We woke up to another day of freezing wintry weather. If this is a preview, I want spring NOW!!!! LOL I woke up and it wasn't even 32 degrees. I still need to find the gloves and hats but at least we are warm with our winter coats.

Tomorrow is the teacher conference at 8 AM. I will be glad when that is over. I have to admit that my anger has subsided somewhat but not much. I was talking to a couple parents today and found myself getting very steamed. I hope all goes well. I also hope that I don't lose my cool and end up putting a target on my son for the rest of the year. This is not what I want with a new neighborhood and new school. I knew it would be hard going in, but it is really taking a lot out of me. I reminded DH he is going with me and he is going to try to rearrange his schedule. It shouldn't be more than a 1/2 hour because the conference is at 8 AM and school starts at 8:30 AM. I feel 20 minutes tops provided I don't go into rant mode. Keep fingers crossed for me. I need to choose my words wisely, get my points across and do it all politely. I will not be a "yes" person tomorrow. I will take my stand. Gosh...I can't wait til it is done. That should be it til report card conferences which I KNOW I will have to appear once again. Well I will cross that bridge when I get to it.

I don't have much on the agenda today. I was going to go food shopping but I figure I will do that tomorrow as I will be out and about starting very early. So I figure today I will straighten, sweep and vacuum and get my thoughts together. Somehow sweeping and vacuuming gets me thinking a little straighter. Don't ask why, I really know I am my mother's daughter. She was the same way. She said mundane stuff made her think clearer. She never knew why and I don't know why either. LOL

After having that Christmas finish last week, I have really been having smoking needles. My car project in two days already has two backstitched lines of verse in it and my Coffee design is coming along great. I am almost to the bottom of the first page of the pattern. I really think it will be finished up by the weekend if all goes well. I am anxious to change back to the dragon and maybe that is motivating me a little more.
