Stitcher's Question of the Week-Distractions

Do you find that having another distraction (music, movies, people totalk to) while stitching helps you make progress or make mistakes?
I would have to say most of the time I make progress with any background noise or talking to people. I find I make the most mistakes when I am tired or maybe bored of what I am stitching on at the moment.
