A New Week
Well it is Monday again with the promise of a new week and all that goes with it. I am hoping and praying that it is a good one. Hopefully DS will have a great week and it will be quiet here with everything else going on around us which is nothing to complain about.
Yesterday I did the absolute minimal in the house. I had lots of stuff I wanted to do but it kind of fizzled. So today I have TONS to do. I figure I will write here and then get to it. It is what I call my "coffee break" and it gives me a good jump start to my day after the noise of family here all weekend.
I am hoping to finish up this part of my Coffee design by the middle of the week. I am in the last row of grid blocks and there is about 250 more stitches. Of course, it doesn't sound like much, but when you have a design with 77 colors, there could be at least 50 or more colors in those 250 stitches. I don't mind it so much as the design is looking gorgeous. Then I will jump back to my dragon and that may be the last switch til the holidays are over.
I am starting to get the itch to do my Christmas shopping and baking and whatnot. So I told DH last night that we should get a babysitter for the kids on Saturday and get them started. DD already made her list to Santa so I have a lot to go on. DS doesn't have a list. I think he is at that point where he doesn't believe in Santa but he is not about to tell me just in case. LOL You gotta love him. But DH knows a lot of what DS wants and we will go by that. I know DS will break down and write a list. I will be interested to see if it is addressed to Santa. But I am lucky. Up til last year, he believed there was a Santa and it wasn't mom and dad. AND the best is, he hasn't uttered a word to his sister. So like I said, he is unsure but will not fess up anything. Fine by me. I believe in Christmas and all the magic of the season.
Beside the Christmas stuff, I need to get everything together for Thanksgiving here. I have my menu and I talked to both sis in laws yesterday and we are under control for the first of our holidays. Since there are three of us, we take turns with Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas. So this is my year.
Some time today, I want to start looking in my Christmas Cookie recipes and start picking out. I figure I can get some baked and freeze them so I won't be so stressed in the middle of December like I normally am. One of my sis in laws does this and it works for her. It is time for me to try.
I guess that is about it for today. If the Stitcher's QOTW appears, I will be back to answer that. Until then, have a great day everyone and a wonderful week!!!

Hi Mia,
it's tuesday already, but have a nice week too! After the weekend with my family around (a total of 6), I also appreciate a quite house. But there are always things to do.
Christmas is in our country not so hectic as in your country. Because we celebrate sinterklaas, it's not about gifts mostly. And that feels a bit relaxed. But christmas on saturday and sunday, that's a pity.
Well, have to do something I guess. greetings
Anneke
