Just Checking In...
I can't believe it is getting to near a week since I blogged last. Sorry about that but it has been busy around here with the prep. for Thanksgiving and then of course Christmas. My cleaning is done with the exception of my wall unit. I will do that over the weekend and then I will be able to decorate for Christmas. Now the hard part is maintaining the clean. It is not an easy task around here with kids and DH. LOL
I haven't stitched other than on my travel project, Star Light, Star Bright. I figure from now til after Christmas I will stitch on whatever I have and maybe even just bring out the crochet and do that instead. I don't know but I do know that once Thanksgiving is over, I will be thrown into that hustle and bustle of Christmas with barely any time for myself. But I am not complaining. I do love this season and all that goes with it and the meaning of it all.
I am excited that Advent starts Sunday. For one, I am tired of seeing green altar garments and I am looking forward to seeing the Church all festive in preparation for Christmas. I am excited for my kids who are making lists and checking them twice. (I thought that was MY job, LOL). I am excited for the smells that will come from my kitchen when I do my cookie baking and treat making. I am NOT excited about all the shopping. Hopefully it will be quick and painless this year. It was okay last year so I am hoping it will be okay again. :)
Anyway, I need to get cracking on the rest of my chores for the day. I just wanted to say hi to everyone.
If I don't get a chance to blog before Thursday, I want to wish all of my American friends a Happy and Joyous Thanksgiving. To all of my friends abroad, please know that when I give thanks on Thursday, you are all included. I am thankful for all of you, my dear friends.
