Rain and More Rain!
Well the weather finally made up its mind and we now have a steady rain. It has been going on since around 9 last night. We so need it. But right now as I type, I can see my yard and it looks like swamp. That is fine. We haven't had any significant rain in months and we so need it.
Thanks for the comments on my Rose. Kali, stitching the background is not difficult. The chart can overwhelm you but once you start picking out sections, it goes rather quickly. Watch this spot for when I get back to some rotation. My Coffee design is by Mystic Stitch and the entire thing is stitched. I am doing that on 14 ct. aida because of that reason. Rose is on 28 ct. Jobelan or Jubilee (I don't remember which one). I guess I like a challenge. That is my reasoning for not having any finishes. LOL
Jo, the dragon is not calling ME!! He is all tucked in his pillowcase patiently waiting for me to decide what the heck I am going to do so that I can get him finished. LOL
Judy, you never know, my dragon could have taken a short vacation to TX and your Hobby Lobby. I don't see him everyday so that could explain his absence. LOL
Well besides rain, I have nothing much to report. I did manage to get to Target last night and get a few things I needed (and some I didn't). I even got DD her winter jacket. I couldn't believe it. It is purple and lavendar and is so warm. She didn't like that fact last night when she had to try it on but she will appreciate it come this winter.
Today I don't have much on the agenda. The biggie will be laundry. It is not worth mopping a floor as it will just get dirty because of the rain. I will wait for that on Monday when everyone is at school and work. I also plan on some stitching today because it looks like we will be inside.
Have a great day everyone!

It's been raining here since yesterday morning. No chance of it stopping, either, it's supposed to keep going until tomorrow. I know we need it, but we're not making it to the Ren Fair today. Rose looks great, by the way!
I would welcome the rain anyway: it gives you a great excuse to stay inside and stitch. your rose is just beautiful. you have done so much already! and the design is great: not all rose designs have this quality.
have a nice rainy weekend :-)
Have a terrific weekend and appreciate the rain - we could use some too, but I am so grateful for our cooler weather! Open window time!
The rose is looking gorgeous! Yellow roses are my favourite :)
Enjoy your weekend - raining is good excuse for stitching!
