Boring...
I didn't post yesterday because it was boring. I wasn't going to post today because it will be boring. So don't say I didn't warn you. LOL
Not much going on here except life.
Yesterday I food shopped and really did great. Of course I come home and there were a few things I forgot. I will go back today.
I haven't stitched in 2 days because the kids homework is driving me crazy. We are off on Friday and they are cramming in 5 days worth of stuff in 4. Last night I had mega paperwork that was all due today. It was 8:00 by the time I was done and at that point, I didn't even want to lift a needle. I just wanted to veg out and recoup from filling in order forms and signing homework and test papers, etc.
Today I already did one volunteer job at school and in a little bit I will be back at school to be a substitute lunch mother for 2nd and 5th grade. I am so not looking forward to this BECAUSE we will be inside because of the rain.
Yes, it is still raining here. Of course not as hard as the weekend but Monday, Tuesday and again right now this minute it is raining. Actually it is more a steady drizzle but it counts as rain in my book.
It has been almost 2 weeks since we have seen the sun. There is hope for the weekend but it may not happen if this weather system doesn't move.
I really want to get out to the farm nearby to pick apples. I am normally there by now. So yesterday I bought apples and will make some yummy apple stuff on Friday and Saturday.
I am still on square #55 in the CAL. Thank goodness I read Cathy's blog and saw hers was not measuring up. Mine was at about 2 inches. It was exactly 7 1/2 inches. I was impressed. First try with the H hook and I was happy. Yesterday I decided to measure at about 3 or so inches. The thing was measuring over 8 inches. How it happened, I have no idea. I unraveled and am not starting again with a smaller hook. If this doesn't work, then I am taking Cathy's idea and dropping a couple stitches.
That is about it from here. Like I said, it is boring. But I guess it is boring in a good way. I am warm and dry in my house, there is food, and I can stitch and crochet. I am also satisfied that I am able to help out at school in any way I can so I can at least catch a glimpse of my kids during their busy days. I am blessed in many ways even if they seem boring at the moment.
Have a great day everyone!

Not boring at all, Mia. Enjoy life, enjoy your kids. Oh, and you reminded me on that sack of apples I bought last week. I really should bake something nice this weekend.
oooh - do tell what kind of apple goodies you make!
