Hump Day
I can't believe it is Wednesday already. I still feel like it should be Monday or something like that. LOL Anyway, I guess that is a good thing because it means we have been busy and busy in a good way if it is flying by like it is. The really good news is that we are settling into our back to school routine better than I ever expected. The kids are getting to bed around 9 PM and are up and about no later than 7:30 AM. They are actually having about 45 minutes in the morning so they don't have to rush breakfast or getting dressed and ready for school. I am trying my hardest to stay on top of the things that come home by doing it as soon as it comes home.
For today, I have some errands to run and bills to pay. I also still have some ironing to do and will tackle that this afternoon. Before that I have a few chores I want done to make it easy on me this weekend.
Last night I actually stitched on Rose. I didn't do much as when I finally sat down to stitch, my DH's uncle stopped by so I only got in about 10 stitches. But it felt nice to sit with my stitching. I also started a new stitching journal. I was going over the one I started in January 2005 and I have to tell you that there are more weeks that I didn't stitch than weeks I stitched. So I pulled out a pretty one I bought last month just for this purpose and restarted it. This journal is a bit bigger than my previous ones so this will take me well into 2006. I am so hoping that this one has more stitching progress than the first nine months of this year.
I also gave up on trying to get my crochet squares to 7 inches. I think it is my yarn. So I changed my specifications for gauge. My squares will not measure 7 1/2" before the border. I ripped this square out quite a few times and now I am going to redo it one last time. If it measures 7 1/2" I will be happy. If it should come out to 7" I will be over the moon. LOL
I also gave some thought to my rotation as I was transferring my project list to the new journal. I have decided at the present time to just stitch on what I want. But I am going to try my hardest to work on all three of my big projects at least once a week. We will see how this goes. I really want to see some progress so working for a couple days on each one should give me some good progress and it will also ease my mind on those days that I can't get to stitch. Once winter settles in, I will probably have a better idea of how I want to work on my projects. I tend to stitch more in the cold weather as we aren't outside all the time.
A little while ago, it rained here. We need it so bad. But it seems as soon as it started, it ended and the ground was dry. If I didn't hear it on the windows and saw the drops on the van, I would have never known it rained. It is gray and dreary here and I am so hoping we get rain. Everything is dry and most of my plants are now gone. Of course, we were going to pull them out soon, but I would have liked to have seen the colors of summer for just a bit longer.
I hope everyone has a great day.

Go Mia! You've had a busy week!
We're going to school for so long now, it seems like we never had a summervacation!
I stitch more too in winter, and I'm looking forward to that. Good luck on rotating.
